You're the boss, just don't tax us to death or anything like that and I be fine.
GM can we(red)get at the wood from there?
each turn is a season, so distance doesn't matter, as long as there's nothing insurmountable in your way. Though you'd clearly want to be by woods if you work or hunt in them.
Do I need anything to train new guards and improve the old ones?
Or to improve my command skill? Or can I just train it.
I already "explained" skill upgrades. Guards have these requirements. 1 they need a place to live, for free, so either a barracks, or their own shack or house, they'll always be happy with a barracks, not so much a shack. 2 they need to be paid, fighting is dangerous work, their pay is up to the baron, or by you. The current guard are personal body guards so they don't need to be paid, which is good cause you have no money. They also need to be fed, they "pay" for their food from the food you give them, and just don't pay them as much as you would. They also need arms, which are built by a weaponsmith, in a smithy workshop (I haven't listed this on the list yet, but no one's playing on anyway) Weaponsmiths require Iron, which is processed from ore by Smelter's in a bloomery, and comes from a mine, which is dug out by miners. You can also just trade for arms.
pre-edit: Drake should be orange, I gave them colors for a reason, also they match your crests, how convenient.
