If you irradiate them, you could just eat them raw, though I don't know how that would taste.

Terrible, and it probably wouldn't be as nutritious as cooked eggs.

You *can* eat non-irradiated eggs raw (both in Cata and IRL). It's just that a) you risk consuming bacteria and a nasty disease and b) all alone, they taste like some unholy goo. There's a dessert from raw egg yolks, kogel/gogel-mogel, similar to zabaione, popular from Germany eastwards, I used to love it as a kid.

You don't need to cook eggs if you whip them with sugar, because the combination of sugar and air exposure usually kills anything harmful. Meringues, the aforementioned kogel, and eggnog all take advantage of this.

Meringues ARE cooked.

I guess I'm bad at making water eggs. Mine always end up fluffy enough anyway though. I'll have to test this. How fluffy can an egg get?

regardless, I really don't think water should be a requirement for scrambling eggs if you have real actual eggs and not powdered eggs
The big thing is that under the current recipes system there isn't a way to do this short of making multiple recipes for the same thing. AFAIK we can do:
(A or B) and (X or Y or Z)
but we can't do:
(A and B) or (X and Y and Z)

It's just a limitation of the current system.

It's not like the game has shied away from making multiple recipes for the same thing anyway. One more wouldn't kill anyone.

I think. I don't know how much of a memory deficit the game might be running.

We don't have any memory deficit AFAIK. If anybody wants to pull up a PR for it it'll probably go in.

Why not have the recipes nest inside one another. So, if you have 10 different recipes for scrambled eggs, you'd pick the scrambled egg option, which would be white if any of the recipes had the parts, then you'd get another list of recipes that were all the various ingriediant ones. So, fresh eggs + pan, or powdered eggs + water + pan.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Also because doing anything that involves a user interface is almost always a pain in the ass to code. :P

Yep.

In other news , just nerfed Niten Ichi-Ryu so hopefully folks won't explode zeds with their bokken anymore, and have a PR in the pipe to make minefields marked.  (Zeds can't read.)

And then you get some poor bastard who's nearsighted and lost his glasses who walks up to the sign (obviously placed in the dead center of the minefield) to read it.

This is the only implementation of labeled mine fields I endorse.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.
