Well I already checked it out and i can get radiation in a safe area, but I don't know about purifier. Aren't the purifier effects random? I can only see myself really needing them if I suddenly get a lethal mutation that is going to kill me.

Also. FOUND AN RV! Also have a jerry can and a solitary gas station nearby. Now I just need a wrench and then I can start modifying cars! ....... Now, I just need to go hitchhiking for a town to get 1 damned wrench >:(

Radiation sickness will greatly weaken and damage your character for a day or two if you spend enough time to gain a mutation, so you'd better have a stockpile of food and a safe spot nearby. Also get a dosimeter or a radiation badge so you know when to leave before it gets lethal. IMHO, it's more trouble than it's worth, raiding a lab is safer.

Well the lab I found had zero mutagen, but plenty of turrets and crab abominations which I am NOT going to mess with. And I have a geiger counter so it wouldn't risk more then needed more food due to vomiting and a -1 str debuff.

But none of that matters now, because peeking around a corner to avoid a turret caused the turret to *try* to shoot at me, and crashed the game, destroying hours of progression. I am mad.

Yeah, nowadays Cataclysm is pretty lacking in difficulty.

Crushed under a barrel of whiskey. How dwarfy.

Seriously though, if you find the game too easy, invent optional challenges that aren't coded in, similar to megaprojects in DF. For example, try never using any item invented after the year 1900. Or 1600. Or carpin' Stone Age.

Well if NPCs can ever get programmed in to the point that they can inhabit towns, then suddenly the goals for the game become bigger. Would also be cool if MASSIVE hordes of zombies traveled across the map ignoring whether or not an area isn't loaded. Make you either avoid them, run from them, or hope your defenses hold.

Well, as long as completely ignoring the intention of a project is grounds for panning it, I'm going to go talk shit about his imgur album because it's like totally super boring and The Avengers was a better series of pictures put together in sequence.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

I'm fairly sure it's who I think it is, given the char name and the attitude.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Oh for the love of god. It isn't that easy - unless you come across something like a nodachi/zweihander along with a military rucksack on day one. Then it is kinda easy.

Also, he never left the easy areas, hah. The equivalent of milling about in the WoW starting zone indefinitely and saying there's just no challenge at all to be found in the game. It doesn't look like he ever left the edge of suburbia.

Anyone can grind their skills into god-tier proficiency if they stay in the same area all day.
