Dunno, but I would find it awesome to have a showervicto with a towel or two.
Shower survivor, one towel, named Arthur Dent.
There's an actual HHGttG profession, isn't there?
Guide, towel and bathrobe.

If anyone's interested, I did an overhaul of professions:
https://raw.github.com/GlyphGryph/Cataclysm-DDA/professions_changes/data/json/professions.json

Would appreciate people trying it out and telling me what they think.

Hmm. The only one that jumps out at me as needing a rethink is Tailor. Tailoring is probably the most powerful skill in the game -

On the other hand, tailor is also incredibly easy to raise. Bone needle (only requires survival 1 now iirc) -> murder a dozen animals -> use mountain of sinew to reinforce the mountains of random clothes laying everywhere.

It's not like computers which is a massive PITA to raise unless you get lucky with books.

Also I'm not sure which armor you think is the second best, if it's survivor suit I personally think they are both underpowered and not really worth making.

Yeah I haven't taken anything with tailoring once I figured out how the game works. You can exploit bushes with no problem til you find a sewing kit (they aren't rare) then just sit in a house/shelter/wherever with one smashed window and get to level 4 with zombie clothes or whatever's on the house floor. To make tailoring appealing at character start for me now would require special profession-only recipes or the ability to sew pockets in any piece of clothing, or something like that.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Yeah, last time I made it: survivor suit has enough warmth to make you uncomfortable in summer, while also not enough to compensate for winter. Protection is comparable to a decent set of fitted/reinforced clothing, but with generally better EP. However, it guarantees some encumberment on all limbs- which is undesirable depending on your class.
This whereas you can customize your encumberment when using individual pieces. It also focuses all attacks on one piece of clothing rather than over several- so it takes hits more frequently.
Storage is also about comparable, & waterproofing is nice.
Overall it's take it or leave it- no significant advantages over top-tier clothing, except perhaps while it's raining (which may save on a point or two of total encumbrance).

Power armor is nigh-impenetrable. Problem is power consumption- you have to switch it off when not in combat in order to save energy. So you're constantly trundling around in ENC 5+

Overpowered Halloween professions vs Black Road Max spawn rate. Who would win?
Heh, depends on your profession. The guns won't help you. Karate ghost might survive.

Mid recording session right now but I just thought of something and knew if I didn't post it I would forget. The wait option should have a few improvements done to it. One is that having a watch or whatever that tells you the time shouldn't remove the options like the wait till dawn as that is quite useful to have. Also the one I just thought of is that there should be a wait till weather changes option. I am stuck inside right now because of acid rain and it is somewhat boring to record that and I don't want to waste resources on waiting to long and I don't want to waste my time on incrementally waiting.

So. Can hoodies and other "has a hood to warm your head" items be made activatable to put up the hood to cover the head, instead of being automatic? I've been making my starting batch of clothing from shelter scraps, and realized that my hoodies could cover my head, as they have hoods, but instead I have to make hats for armor.

Umm, I'm not sure how this would make them being automatic a bad thing. The whole "can't wear a hood if you are already wearing a hat" thing is intended. Only problem I see with them right now is that they automatically are worn even if you are too hot, but that's as simple as adding a check and making them not be worn when you are hot, only cold.

What I meant was, I'm wearing two hoodies as basic protection cobbled together from sheets in the shelter. The reason is that there are no good arm armors at 3-4 tailoring, that don't also cover the torso. Hoodies provide decent protection when doubled, 6 is nothing to sneeze at for each layer. It would be nice if I could "activate" the hoodie so I can have the head protection as well without having to make extra items.

Oh, so you want to hood to give head protection as well as warmth? Not sure if it does.

Yeah it doesn't, just warmth IIRC.

On the latest Linux console build, when I try to run it I get the following error:
Error while loading shared libraries: liblua5.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory.

Edit: Same result on the graphical build.
