Deon's is the default, if you don't adjust anything, that one will display.  If you disable Deon's it will fall back to using GalenTiles.

Wait, you can still play with ASCII right? I haaaate tilesets.

Yes, yes you can. However, you are much better off using the ASCII tileset, because it decouples text and map tiles, so you can get square map tiles without making everything else look super wonky. ;)

(I don't actually know where that is available right now though)

Be more specific, please? Every one I just tried worked fine.

I was trying to sew some pants in my evac shelter basement and a zombie trooper showed up... Odd.

Oh I Know, but I was making a joke :D

If you prefer, you could add that your pants were SO UGLY that the fashion police had to call in the national guard.

There haven't been any changes to shrubs since .8. (And from my tests anything above about 30 mph in a car goes through shrubs without any real harm done), could you care to expand on "lethal shrubs" so we can see exactly what is happening to you?

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Previously things like shrubs were stopping the car dead and hurling you from the vehicle.

They still are, driving is impossible.  Too slow and shrubs stop you, too fast and you can't see far enough ahead AND shrubs stop you and hurl you from your vehicle.

I've had to start going about 30 MPH and using HJKL to move the viewing window ahead of me. It seems to work okay for now, as long as it's only in one direction.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Can't you just... drive on roads? o_O

And yeah view-shifting when driving is really a must at high speeds.

Damned shrubberies

(whoops, wrong picture, try two)
