@Farce: Yeah, I think the only things I need to do with it are to add in new game within world and the actual world gen, and I'll be set as far as basic playability concerns go. Then it comes down to figuring out what I need to add to it as options, and where to save that information :P

Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.

Any news on how flying things are coming along/where in the dev plan they are?
Anything on this?

Am I the only one wanting a menu -like the mutation one- that allows you to add bionics without the hassle of wishing for them? Some days I just want to go and become a terminator in terms of bionics, but it takes so long getting the bionics that it becomes trivial when I find out I"m next to a school and surrounded by river.

Well flying will come after z-levels go in, and I think (but I'm not 100% on this) that z-levels come after the world builder, which is the next things GalenEvil is working on.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

I suck at making tiles >.< The requirement was for me to set up the tile support and not make tiles for it. That is to be done by pixel artists far more skilled than myself. Was hoping Deon would have gotten back to me by now, but there are a lot of tiles to be made.

Deon had some nice tileset for Whales' Cataclysm, i remember enjoyed them when there was Gremour code before a new version broke it and Gremour disappeared so none could use tiles anymore.

Yeah, Deon has some very nice tilesets :D I have been in contact with him on the DDA forum and to my knowledge he is working on getting a tileset ready for distribution :D

Why do you do this to me? You release the tiles right when I realize the reason my recordings are starting to take so long to process because the place I put them is over 99% fragmented and I can't record a video because its taking multiple defrags to make it all better? You must have spys!  :P

Join us. The crazy is at a perfect temperature today.
So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

So when z-levels come along will there be a rework of the parkour skill?  :P

SORRY :P

Probably. Still working through the details on how to structure it so it is easy to work with and convert from the current slicing system to unified z-levels.

I'll probably be getting started on Z-Levels in 2-3 weeks assuming bugs crop up like they have been. Overall the world factory and mod manager seems pretty straightforward so I don't expect any major delays.

*has zero interest in tiles* .. and possibly an aversion to their implementation. It'll change the audience the game pulls and in turn, the direction it takes. It's the same complaint I have with tiles in DF, or any roguelike. But anyway, it's happening and will happen. I'm done :(

I personally dont give two shits about tiles, what I want is more shit to screw with in it, not the way that shit looks.

Tiles are just an optional feature. You did see the ASCII part, right?
