We have the hunting lodge for a reason. Send Marna and child with Oswald, Fin, and all veteran retinue to the lodge.

And Luther.

Close down the fair. Have Irlof take down the names of merchants who attended, and promise them to defray the costs of travelling based on distance from home and value of goods, if they return at the next fair.

Oh HELL no. The rest of them are expendable. If Marna or Isaac die we'll have to RP drunkeness and a slow downward spiral. Everyone else can fend for themselves. Marna + Isaac = number one priority.

Let's not, because Mal will probably have bandits kidnap Marna if we send her there.

Look, that hunting lodge is my idea, and I will send who I want there. If you want to leave Marna behind, fine, but the experienced troops go.

I really don't care about Marna or Isaac. We can always marry again, this time advantageously for more land. Sons are replaceable. We have the "hammer and anvils with which to forge yet more and better sons" in the words of one famous medieval knight.

What the fuck. Looks like Gervassen didn't learn anything from last time. Calm the fuck down before you destroy the game. Also, you are a heartless bastard.

Calm down. I'm not the one using heated words. I'm just saying that we can do better than Marna now that we're established as a lord. I don't want to lose Isaac, but childhood deaths are common enough. We can get a score of sons on the next wife if we marry her just after she first flowers. You aren't thinking like a medieval lord, but rather like a  modern guy.

What just happened? ONE more instance of name calling means the game is over. Done. Finito. Last warning.

Just to clarify, again: don't call each other names. Don't get heated. Don't be sarcastic. Don't willfully misinterpret statements. If you are mad at the other person, curse at your screen all you want, but do not type out those words. Typing that and posting it makes me mad. Mad me does not want to continue this game. We have been down this road too many times before, and this is truly your last warning. Any additional instances that cross the line will result in a quick "thank you" post, and me locking the thread.

That was entirely one-sided, let me point out. People always blame me, for some reason. I even gave an authentic medieval quote to show that I was thinking in the spirit of real medieval fatherhood here. Roleplaying, right?

I think it was more in the fact that you said that you would send whoever you wanted to your hunting lodge. It's out of the spirit of the suggestion game, bro.

Water over the bridge.

In any case, we don't want to make it seem like we're fleeing.

So well, we must make it look like we're going hunting, or doing military exercises.

Oh, ask our physicians if we have to do anything special to do bodies. Or if he has any ways to prevent infection. (2 Chances to get some usefull advice this time, or loose trust in this idiot)

+1

Get out of town! If looking like a bit of a coward is the consequence of SURVIVING, then so be it! Survive we must! What do people want us to do? Stand in the middle of town and fight off this plague with our sword?

Encourage people to stay at home as much as possible and not congregate.

Also, shouldn't we burn the dead, if that's at all acceptable to the culture we're living in? Or is burying them pretty much just as good?

It's pretty much equal. You just need to get rid of them as soon as possible, and with as little people as possible touching them.

Mass graves require more effort than mass burning, but they are less public. We can use the ash as fertilizer. Doubt our people would like that much. Just pointing out pros and cons of each. No real opinion.
