Teach Luther a lil more than combat.
Not just a huge weapon....

How about we make him dualwield longswords just to see if it works?

... Let's go hunting again! ((Hopes for some action.))

+1

A real hunt. Ask the Duke permission to use his hunting preserve, and go with Lady Marna, Finn and our rangers, and Luther. He must learn the noble art of hunting if he is to be more than a peasant.

Invite Sir Percival and young Sir Denton. The young lad can witness that we have connections and influence with the Duke, and Marna will surely take the edge off the conversations. Perhaps also the mayor of Carshire, why not? We need better allies on all our borders.

I'd also like to propose we start doing some light training to maintain our fitness. nothing heavy or hard paced, just enough so we dont lose our edge.

also, spend time with Marna (another child maybe?) or go hunting, as previously mentioned.

Also, tell our horse breeder to begin selecting the fastest horses with the best stamina, and segregate these and breed their traits as scouts' horses. Long term project.

Let's start some buzz about our October Fair, too. It will have martial contests... Golden pin for best archer, brawls, boulder-carries, maybe caber-tossing just for fun.

However, I'd like to have an actual tourney and dedicate it to the knights who fought in the invasion. Do you think we have enough juice to get a real tourney going, guys?

I don't know about this. How is our shoulder? How are our broken ribs? We just got mauled by a bear a few months ago, we might not be up for a hunt yet.

Build better housing for the miners.
They proved their loyalty; we don't want disgruntled people.

Teach Luther a lil more than combat.
Not just a huge weapon....

Improve our health.
Not entirely sure how....
Sounds like a plan.
Or a few plan fragments or something.

Not great.  We're at "below average health" presently, which isn't the best sign.  I think hold off for another month or two, but arrange with the Duke for a hunt come October or September (autumn, basically, and a better hunting time) when our ribs are healed.

If we're going to plan a hunt on the Duke's land, it would probably be impolite if we didn't invite the Duke.

After a certain point, your recover through use and gentle resumption of activities. This hunt is on horseback, just riding a quarry to exhaustion and then giving some special individual the right of the coup de grace with a spear when the animal is tired and at bay. That would be young Derrick, not us, pleading our injury and giving him the honor. Not too taxing for us.

If the Duke wants to go, but chances are likely that he's busy. He already attended our fair. It may be impolite to put the mild social pressure of asking him. A hunt is not always a grand Ducal affair, after all; and in the story history, when Marna passed through our lands on the way to a hunt during early courtship, it was only her and her brother.

Certainly give him the option, though.

Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure how many details to get into or what format was best exactly. I thought more or less short and sweet might do it. Perhaps not? I dunno. I could go into it more if you wanted.

Hey, here's an idea to implement: We set aside some of the grape harvest for experimenting with ice wines.

Obviously, we won't be harvesting these until winter when the grapes freeze, but we should go ahead and set aside some of the grapevines for this

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Yes, this this this!  We should consult Irlof to see if anything else like this exists in the kingdom, and if so, what they normally go for, the quantities they're produced in, and anything else that may be relevant.  And if not, well then we pioneer this fascinating new form of beverage.

We may consider some project that would allow for some recreation among our population. While going through the motions is fine for a time, we've had this place for a few years....

We have ready access to water, some space, a reasonable amount of wood etc.

Perhaps we could do something like a lodge to hang out at (Do we even have an inn or something?). Maybe a public bath (we've got the water), which doesn't even necessarily have to be heated, but that might be nice.

We do have an Inn that happens to be rather popular with both the local population and river merchants.
