She's a good catch, and she basically neutralises the Count immediately, since he doesn't want to mess with the Duke's family... Let's marry and make babby with her.
Even if we do marry Marna, I'm not sure how much extra protection that would get us from the Duke. Nephew-in-law isn't exactly a close family relationship...
Also helps that it would give us an heir.

I'd suggest waiting a bit; nothing good ever comes of taking a romance too fast. If it works out well? Go ahead and propose. Otherwise? Wait a bit.

I like the idea suggested a bit back about the falcony bracelet for Marna's gift.

Anyways...on an unrelated note, who should we give our old sword to?

I agree, we dont want to rush the romance. Either way, the count is our enemy and we will want to implicate him in his own foul deeds, so lets deal with him in the way we planned to, using subterfuge to gather evidence and eventually expose him.
The gift also sounds pretty awesome.
I was thinking we could give the sword to a future son or something, sort of a "my first sword will be your first sword" kind of deal. If not, maybe we can give it to our militia captain or something.

Both of those sound good. We definitely shouldn't just toss it into the militia armory.

I like the giving it to our son thing. However there is the problem of, what if we have a daughter?

Alternatively, let's court while we deal with the rat. Get rid of the count and keep her wanting. Tellin' ya. Lady's love what they can't have.

Not sure how that works in medieval society.

Don't tell me we are rushing having a kid. We have more important things to worry about.

Plus in mideval terms we're not exactly rushing it. Hell it's unusual we got to know the girl prior rather than just going straight to the duke and requesting a marriage.

Yeah but there are more pressing matters.
