Has anybody thought about the idea of Jousting accidents. There'll be lots of people around, and an accident can happen quickly. A cut belt, a wayward lance, anything and we're cripled and or killed.

I propose we're carefull, and say that we might* compete, depending on how good the lightish injuries** we got heal.

*Ie uncertain
**I know we were fine, but anyway.

We''l look into it. Might as well train regardless.

Mm. That may be a good time to recall our rangers and have them scout out the whole event, posing as citizens and maybe a vendor. Like got damn CIA!

It will be even better if they are hired by the count and part of a plan of him to kill us. And then they foil it spectacularly. Fame!

You guys are way to optimistical about those rangers ability.

They're some archers who barely know how to ride a horse, remember.

Joust! Lol! We're going to suck. Big time.

BTW, how many landed vassals are in this county? So far, I think we've only met two, unless the marshal is a third. Just thinking ahead in case it comes to civil war. We should try to meet all the other lords in the county, if we haven't already, and make more friends.

The County has the following landed vassals: Yourself, Sir Denton, Sir Percival, and the mayor of Curbiston (who died in the battle with the rebels and has presumably been replaced). The Abbey upstream is a vassal of the Duke. The marshal is an unlanded Knight who is in the employ of the Count.

Hmm. We still haven't met the Abbot, have we? Maybe we should go do that.

Definitely train with lance and shield on horseback, intensively. Spend a little bit of time sparring with the soldiers too, to keep our swordwork sharp and bond with the men.
We should also make sure our miners are eating right, encouraging them to garden in their spare time would be good. (Wait, are these miners with wives and children?)

lets run to Alan, see if he can give us some pointers on jousting...

focusing on the not dying aspect of the sport.
we could also just tell Marna that we're not really prepared to do any jousting.
if we are going to give it a go, tell her that its only for her burning desire. and we dont mind getting smacked around a little for that.

FFY and in fact we'd gladly get beaten up by half the kingdom for her smile. Of course, we'd prefer to beat up half the kingdom for her smile, but we'll do as we can x)

1)Reply to Lady Marna that we are as eager to fight under her favour than her to bestow it upon us (while making no illusion over our chances of victory, we don't really care about getting beaten, what we do care about is her.)

2)Get trained for jousting so that we don't suck as much.

3)Continuing ongoing projects.
