Aye, though once it grows warmer we may want to consider getting a book or two, there's only so much we can learn from something so limited.

I also propose meeting the Lord to our north, upstream, in the coming months. It may be good to solidify that relation. While we are in his village we may be able to pick up a copy of the holy bible or possibly something else. While we are there we should also try to set up some trade deals with merchants and organisations upstream, possibly the Lord himself would help us do that.

Next year we should also focus on finishing the brewery, hiring a shipwright, Making tons of coin from stationary trade, building a large ship yard overseen by said shipwright, building our first vessel, acquiring captain and crew, sending it out, all the time producing food and goods for trade and the harvest.

I doubt anyone hunts, no bows until recently. That being said I.bet we could work up some snares and traps when We feel more.like.it but not this turn. let's just focus on what we have and feeding the famished.
Oh, yes, hunting requires bows. How did those hunter-gatherers manage with just spears, rocks, and ingenuity? Pretty well, seeing as they could catch and kill mammoths. Even without traps, atlatls are pretty darn deadly when used by skilled hands.

He said it was a game based in medieval Europe going by a different name. The art of the atlatl died in summaria as far as Europe is concerned at that time. Protests were also uncommon and strictly military.

They also had bows to replace atlatls.

No argument. I like the idea. I just think it will become more feasible once we have more bows and more skilled archers.

Snares. the simplest trap.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

It seems pretty likely that a culture without bows wouldn't discard atlatls.
...Wait, do you mean our town in specific doesn't have bows?

Until very recently, yes. That is what I meant. Not to mention, I doubt the layman is good enough with one, considering most have never used one, to have an effective mass hunting party.

I doubt we'll need, or be able to organize, a great hunt. Simply keep up the caring/learning until we can safely (march or april maybe?) visit upstream neighbours.

Oh, okay. Somehow I thought the whole civilization had no bows. Yeah, getting an archer trained soon isn't likely...but it never hurts to start, if we've got volunteers.
Ph, and we can probably stop the pyramid now.

I agree with this. As well as, can we inspect the wares made, at this point by the potters and the bowyer. I want to see what our trade situation and armaments look like. Plus I want to know if anything in particular stands out. We should have an gift of good tidings for the Lord upstream when we do get around to visiting.
