Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The first one is for ebbor. The Flemish coat of arms has really a cool colour palette, imo. The second is the serious one. The sun has got a face inside of it now, because... why not?

It would be called Party per pale vert and azure, dexter, a bear rampant or, sinister, a sun in splendor or and argent.

Just as a general note, but that's not the original colour palette. The red was only added after the formation of Belgium, to match with the Belgian flag, as well as the Walloon flag. (Red and yellow)

Just standard information.

Can we keep the old one and just add the bear?
Originally the sun was silver with golden core, referring partly to Marna's necklace.
Anyway I like the motto "Robur ex Terra".

Yeah, I read about that. The red does add a little interest, to be honest, but the main reason I like it is yellow and black, my favorite combo. This does remind me that the heraldry is actually wrong: I forgot the tongue and claws designation.

Party per pale vert and azure; dexter, a bear rampant or, armed and langued; sinister, a sun in splendor or and argent.

I suppose, but the blue bend will crowd the field, make the sun and bear smaller, and separate the bear from appearing to be reaching for the sun. You've still got the colours of wood and river, just one bank now, and the devices are easy to see. The silver and gold can be inverted. It's all on an SVG.

Anyway, I suppose we can have the May update, Mal. Perhaps even another roleplay for the fair? We're too broken to do training, our workers are already toiling day and night, we have plans for the fair to implement... etc. We can't add much now. Stuff our bear, rest, spend time with the family.

Updating later tonight, likely with roleplaying.

The sun is usually shown that way in heraldry.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_(heraldry)

I took it off and ...

Okay, so some commentary from me. The bend makes the bear and sun small. I don't like it. I like the first, because the bear is big. The bend is just the original plus a bear, so there's that, if that's important. The last option keeps the stripe, but makes it a vertical pale, so that the bear can continue to be bigger.

I like the left the best, but the sun on the right looks neat.

I think the original worked best.  Party per pale vert and azure; dexter, a bear rampant or, armed and langued; sinister, a sun in splendor or and argent.

I vote for the third one, all the way.
How does it look like mirrored, and where did you make these neat coats of arms?

We were training, but a giant mama bear falled on us and now we are in bed, ribs broken. We are discussing what are we doing with the mama bear corpse and the cubs. And then there is the spring festival.
