It smells.. this inn smells terrible! You are having a hard time enjoying your beverage due to the smell of sweat and manure that the farmers around you seem to exude. You look around your table and you can see your fellow party members aren't having a much better time with the smell of this place. You met them a few weeks ago in a similar inn over a ale or two. After having talked at some length you all decided to make use of your skills as a adventurer and banded together to form a party, which is still unnamed at this point in time. For the last few weeks you and your new friends have traveled around a bit looking for any opportunities for a group of adventurers such as yourself.

You return to the present and look around the inn. The inn is jam packed with farmers from the village you are currently in, all enjoying their drinks with loud joviality trying to release their stress from a hard day of work. If you can ignore the inn's smelly patrons for a while you notice that the inn itself is not to bad. It's relatively clean and as you take a sip of your beverage you can say that their drinks don't taste like sewage, unlike the last village you were in.

You look around the inn some more and notice that there is little else interesting about the inn. You do note a notice board behind the crowd of villagers however. Several papers are attached to it, as a newcomer to the adventuring profession it might not be a bad idea to take a look at the board to see if any locals have problems that could use a hired sword. Your party could certainly use the money as your funds are running dangerously low.

A human in plate armor stood up and went to look at the board.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

April briefly thought. You know, maybe she should have found work earlier, because now she was running out of money! She couldn't believe she'd never thought to look! She'd kinda just wandered off on her own., looking for things to do, but not actually looking for pay. Oh well, now was plenty a good time to start! April jogged up to the board and noticed a guy in plate armor. While scanning the papers: "Hi! I'm April."

"Hmm, do you think they'd have any adventuring jobs on this board? I dunno. Seems a bit dangerous for a public notice board or whatever."

"Er, yeah, uh, right..." April edged away from the masked guy. Truth be told, he creeped her out a little bit. She didn't know if it was the way he acted or the mask and armor constantly keeping him covered- but she didn't really like him much.

Caern stretched his arms a bit before standing up and heading to the board as well. It either had something truly interesting or the movement of the group was more a reflex of their lack of cash and something to do.

"Anything interesting so far?" he asks offhandedly, eyeing the papers thoughtfully and scratching his chin. Being a half-golem seemed to entitle you to not having much hair aside from the one atop your head, to which the young man was grateful due to his profession.

Check the notice board for any simple task with a good reward.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

went to look at the board.

April jogged up to the board and noticed a guy in plate armor. While scanning the papers:

Wanders over to the board and adjusts my mask to keep it in place.

Check the notice board for any simple task with a good reward.

You all push through the crowd of villagers towards the board to take a look at it. The board has several papers attached to it and most are of little concern to you such as pig contests but you do find two notices of interest.

The first one in a crude handwriting says;

Kobold infestation, Hiring mercenaries.
The village of Amul needs your aid! The village is currently being plagued by a clan of kobolds from a nearby abandoned mine. They are attacking travelers on the roads, farmers out in the fields and the Amul militia can not leave the village defenses to take care of the infestation at the heart. Thus the militia is looking to hire mercenaries to take care of the foul creatures.

Inquire with the Amul militia captain, Adela Pogue, at the local garrison for more details.

Reward: 300 Golden crowns, possibly doubled.

The second one is written in a cramped handwriting, you have to squint to read it.

Grave robbers in Amul!
Recently the graveyard and crypts outside the village have been raided on several occasions. Crypts have been found bashed open, graves dug up and any valuables within pilfered.  More troubling however are that some of the bodies have gone missing as well which can only bode ill things. And so the local clergy are seeking champions to get to the bottom of this foul situation and deal with the fiends responsible.

Seek brother Emsh at the church of the Circle of Five for direction in this mission.

April reads the paper about the kobold infestation and grins. "Well look at that! That's adventure! That's exactly the kind of excitement I'm looking for! We should do the one about the infestation!

Laughs and punches Aprils shoulder.

"I've never seen somebody so excited about an infestation, but why not do both? They are in the same town after all."

"The kobolds has a reward stated, but the grave robbers seem to say necromancers who need to be nib in the bud at the start." Grey rubbed his chin. "I'm going for kobolds."

April thought for a bit. "Yeah, why not do both? Hmmmm... I dunno! Kobolds first, then the grave robbers. That should work!"
