Where are you? are you in A lush system with lots of life: A small group of annoying life forms and average mineral wealth? Or in A barren system with no life: scorthingly hot and Almost too harsh even for you: but is mineral rich And has large amounts of volcanic activity. : Or you can describe the system your self with your own words

What are you? Are you A mining ship with lots of data about Mining drones and Lots of mining equitment? Or are you A war ship with lots of weaponry able too wipe out anything A feeble empire can throw. Or are you a Colony ship? With lots of Energy generation and mineral collectors for constructing more of your kind? Or are you A research Facility with massive amounts of research equipment that can immediately start researching into recollecting your lost races data storage?

As you Continue Recollecting what little data you can salvage you think you are either A Aurora X27 unit or A historian unit:  You will continue on with this as your subsystems continue too quarrel about it:maybe some extra data will come up?Regardless you continue too run basic colonization process's: you managed too land on A Mineral rich Planet that has frequent solar flares that can destroy any unprotected equipment. You didn't have any choice what planet you land  because your sensors are down and you barely got A good look on said planet before you got sucked in by its gravity well.
Your small fuel reserves allow you too chose where you land

Near a volcanic area sure too have easily accessible energy: but those earthquakes can hurt, And you are not exactly sure how much is there. Volcanic activity makes lots of materials and easily accessible energy

A small green spot: the only place where life, You detect massive creatures that are slow moving: you can make A bio-fuel with it: and there could be oil there too... Lots of energy can be harvested here

A desert...This is no ordinary desert however: The sand is A reddish grayish color: From your elemental data: this means it is full of minerals this could make easy mining and collecting, But deserts are not easy places too build and you detect A total lack of atmosphere over the area: so you get  no protection from solar flares: this is A more high risk, High reward place

A giant asteroid crater with A moderate amount of ores and May be something else? And if you position your self right in the crater you can completely protect your self form the solar flares.

Or maybe something else? Suggest somthing and I will consider it.
