"Don't know, likely someone's fallen down to that level, but most people I saw only killed for food stocks, so that there are less people to feed with limited resources..."

You tell him to move away from his gun, so that you could pick it up, and he does. You pick his gun up and walk back to where you were.

"Why did the bombs fall?"

"Chinese-American War, or, as people like to call it, World War III. Coup d'etat by an extremist group that got control of most of the Chinese government computers, started anti-foreigner propoganda and such. They demanded lots of so-called 'compenation', and threatened war. After several months they just decided to go nuke, apparently Mutually Assured Destruction didn't stop them. The government revived this facility, which was shut down in a ruch near the end of the Cold War (in the 1970's), when the war started."

"Are you joking? I already said how well this facility is dug in - even repeated nuclear strikes barely scratched us, just shook us up a little."
