I'll not put my personal morals on killing here, as I have none.

My 2 cents:

Killing livestock, game animals, fish, etc. for food is okay as long as it has no major ecological impact. I'm looking at the fishing industry and poaching especially with the last bit.

Killing pests is okay if they are causing damage to property or danger to you. (There are little centipedes all over my house, but I really don't care as long as I don't find them in my bed)

Killing sapient beings is only okay if they threaten your physical life or well-being or that of a third party. However, nonlethal force should be met with nonlethal force with the exception of the most heinous crimes. I wouldn't feel badly at all if someone shot a child molester or a rapist attempting to commit the crime, but that doesn't mean tasing him instead is a bad idea.

The question is that, where do you place sapient ?
Literally, it's "having great wisdom and discernment".

Do the actions that cause the least amount of suffering and harm.

Trust me, I just closed a lot of exploitations there.

I believe it's okay to kill things for food, as long as you attempt to do it quickly and as painlessly as possible. Wantonly torturing anything is evil in my book. Even if you eat it afterwards.

I believe, honestly, that killing can be a good answer to a lot of situations.
That isn't really the best way I can put that as of now, but i'll give you some examples:
Animals run rampant in the forests near by, killing one would help me save a ton of money on food for a while.
Dangerous animals threaten my family, friends, or property.
And for one of my less tasty killing morals:
Get rid of the people who mooch off of government benefits and don't make any attempt to give anything back. In my eyes, they aren't worth it. I get this thought by looking at most of my family members. They aren't going to change. Most of them either:
(This part is MOSTLY things I WOULDN'T kill, you know, family relations. Though know that I like pretty much only my uncle and my parents in my family. My mother's parents are pretty awesome too. Weird, my only decent family is on my mother's side. In Canada.)
A). Mooch off of the few decent people in my family.
B). Mooch off of the government because it enjoys turning people into lazy sacks of shit.
I mean, for gods sake, my cousin told her 4 year old son that the plane ticket to come up and see us was his Christmas present.
She also lives off my uncle, who is the best person I know, even if he won't do anything about the fact that about half of our family leeches off him.
I mean, listen to this.
My OTHER cousin and HIS GIRLFRIEND live with my uncle with their CHILD which my COUSIN doesn't even help take care of at all.
I got off the subject of the morality of killing and more into my first-world problems there, I know, but, it seemed like a good example.
Over all though, I wish my uncle would stop letting these lazy douche bag kids take all his money and give nothing in return.

TL;DR: Facekillz stayed on topic for about the first 20 seconds of his post. He also suggested extermination of useless people.
I don't care if you people think that my views are wrong, they're my views, and i'm entitled to them, and this seemed to be the thread to post it in. If you guys are interested though, my idea for controlling unemployment is more humane.

TL;DR:for the TL;DR: Kill for food, exterminate useless people who just eat food and get free stuff.

So Tom and Jerry walk into real life. . . and Tom toys with Jerry before mutilating and eating him.

I suppose, does intelligence level excuse torture?

If killing people for such things is okay, how are you 'entitled' to your view, can't I just kill you if I disagree enough?

Edit: If I disagree to the point where I think you are a intellectual drain on the human race that is.

I don't. But the question stands.

According to dungeons and dragons killing people who differ in moralistic philosophy is perfectly reasonable and good.
