Unzip and then run the .bat

Or if your afraid of viruses, you can paste the source code in notepad and save it as a .bat, then run it.

Started with ascii pictures...
then ascii roleplaying...
and now we have ascii .bat "game"!
What will be next?

what about writing a simple program that will perform some basic tasks (move, attack etc.) then expand with features?

To be honest, batch files have severe limitations.
And that is why I'm learning Java. Wish me luck.

You can't make many games with notepad, but Java is the way to go.
but im just dabbling, i suck with java
