So then, did anything of note happen in my turn?
Animal taming goes to the archer, forgot his name.

Iliath Spike shall be the tamer. (she deals with the chickens after all)

Ok, couple more questions on the scouting. Issit near the lagoon?
Is the cliff mineable?
Does the area seem defensible?
And how long or how much work will it take to move there?

Other than that, I'll wait till the stuff's been updated before continuing.

Animal Training goes to Steve, The Most Powerful Steve in All of Stevedom. I do have a few more questions if you'll humor me.

1) How much yield did I get from the hunt?
2) Do my chickens and such mate naturally and are assumed to be doing something or do I have to specify it?
3) FUCKING T-REXES ARE HEADING AT MY CAMP!? What the hell can I do to stop that!? I'm a peaceful people!

Also one last question: Am I able to tame T-rexes?

One more: If so how hard is it?

Final final question: Could I send Meat Shield, Meh, or Cannon Fodder off to do it with some chance at success?

Let's see, which are you...I think Kila got mauled by some kind of large animal, but that's about all I can remember. Sorry.

1. Um, 15-20? I don't remember.
2. Yes, but it takes a while for the eggs to hatch (21 days, I think) and longer for other creatures. Usually.
3. No, the T. rexes are different. The attackers are smaller.
4. What is Nerjin doing about the apparent attack?

Yes, with effort; probably hard; yes and no, it's best if they work together and with some sort of protection in case things go bad...Have whoever you choose to be your tamer work with them, for obvious reasons.

1. Hm... That'll work for now...
2. Well alright. That'll help in the long run. Maybe I should build a nest box or something. Would probably be beneficial to them.
3. Well I am MUCH less terrified now.
4. So far I have no plans as I don't know what's coming at me, bro. Could you be as detailed as possible about what my hunters saw?

Still got my questions needing answer.

Ok, couple more questions on the scouting. Issit near the lagoon?
Is the cliff mineable?
Does the area seem defensible?
And how long or how much work will it take to move there?

Incase the post was missed entirely, Iliath Spike to be the tamer (she's the potter to make life easier.)

Yes; With work; If they don't attack from land or you build walls or something; not much, since it's mostly a matter of carrying your stored food and unused tools and stuff to the new site, then having everyone go there. I'd say one or two people could move there in a single day.

Nerjin listened to the tales of his children with care. He knew each of them would not lie to him. He had made sure to rid them of this impulse when they were young. “Interesting. This… creature… We need it tamed. I shall send Steve, the Most Powerful Steve in all of Stevedom, to handle it tomorrow. If worse comes to worse we shall have Cupcake meat.” Pondering the incoming raid and lack of information about it Nerjin said to his assembled children “We may need to relocate. However for now we shall stay as we have been. We shall plant. We may have to ration food soon but… We shall have abundance within a few weeks my children. For now though let us think… We have few weapons and fewer fighters among us. Meh, Cannon Fodder, Human Shield… Come here.”
As the younglings came close Nerjin spoke once more “I trust you are ready for a task…” the nodded and the old man continued “I wish for you, meh, to maintain the original farm. Pull any weeds you find. Cannon Fodder and Human Shield you are to plant the new garden. Plant well.”
The elder children waited to hear their “father” speak to them “Now…. Lumpkin, Sir Drakonis, Odin… You shall hunt again today. No prisoners this time. We do not need more Cupcakes yet. Let us see what can be done with this one for now.”
“Urist, Rose, Magatha, Sacha, and Gobluck. Take the remaining shell knives, Urist you must take the Adze, and defend the Younglings. At any moment we may have to defend them from this incoming wave of flesh and fur.”
“What of you Father?” Asked Gobluck with fear in her eyes “Forgive me but you are old and frail. Surely combat would be harmful? Perhaps you should stay in the hut? To stay safe…” the thought of losing their father greatly worried all of the children however the wise Nerjin laughed.
“My time will not be so soon my young ones… I shall prepare weaponry for defense and food until our farms yield profit.”
The children were worried but trusted Nerjin. They all set about to their assigned tasks.”

Basically I want the following to happen:
Meh tends to the first field.
Human Shield and Cannon Fodder plant on the second to gain experience.
Lumpkin, Sir Drakonis, and Odin McLoft are to hunt again. If they come across those creatures headed to the camp they are to return to camp and report back to Nerjin. If not they are to KILL for FOOD! We need to survive until the farms start outputting. Make Sure Sir Drakonis gets the Obsidian Knife. Odin and Lumpkin get Shell Knives.
Urist, Rose, Magatha, and Gobluck will take the other shell knives [Urist gets the Adze] and will use them to defend the camp.
Nerjin shall make an axe [or two] from Basalt and Wood.
ALL: If the creatures are too dangerous [above 35% chance of ANYONE dieing] we flee into the woods until the danger is passed. I want my flock alive by the end of this.

Couple more questions?

One, could a spear improve hunting? A lot better than a knife or something, less resource-consuming and skill-requiring than a bow, still a very useful tool.

Two, I don't mean to argue(much), but an axe is made for cutting down trees. Not fighting. It's useful for fighting, true, but it can't be used for preparing wood or making large wooden items like an adze can, either. I know that wasn't a question.

Three, could slings or snare traps be made? Slings would hurls stones to be a primitive ranged weapon(those rocks can fly), and snares passively bring in food as long as they're set and checked daily?

Four, could people split up what their islanders do? For example, fishing around dawn and dusk(when fish are most active), hunting during the morning and afternoon, and spending the middle of the day building a hut or gathering reeds?

Nerjin: THERE ARE PEOPLE APPROACHING. WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM?

Rolepgeek: Yup. Once I figure out how weapons affect hunting better, at least. Probably, knives lead to more injuries or something.
