Zoey listens, but doesn't hear anything. She sighs and continues looking around. At least I'll be able to find something of use.

A man walks laughing through the street underneath, with sharpened bones for arms.

Zoey hears that and ducks into an alley to hide.

More freaks flood out of nearby buildings. A woman who has eyes everywhere on her body, each of them displaying a different emotion, a man covered in festering wounds, each secreting a substance that burns his body further, a woman more insectlike than human travel to the location of the newcomer.

"Something's got them riled up."
Allie descends the staircase to the ground floor and heads out the backdoor to follow them.

Zoey hears them and decides the best thing to do is run. She runs to the back of the alley and flattens against the wall, wishing for a way out.

Allie does not engage them iin combat, only having a crudely assembled battleaxe. She finds her way to the chain link fence of an alley and sees someone behind it.

Zoey jumps and turns slightly.

"Yes?"

Zoey replies by climbing over. She falls to the ground on the other side.

"Up? Yes. Not really down."

Allie helps her up.
_{"Try to avoid calling out for others on the streets. It attracts the other mutants. I've secured a nice hospital. Follow me."}

Allie starts running in a quiet fashion.

Zoey runs after her, looking nervously behind them for enemies.

Allie pulls open the back door and pulls Zoey inside. She locks the door.
"I was beginning to wonder if I was the only sane mutant here."

She guides Zoey to the vending machine.

Zoey looks at the machine carefully.

"I was starting to think I was the only person at all."

"I'm sure you're thirsty."
Allie grabs a blue powerade, having long finished the Coke.

Zoey shrugs and leans against the wall.

"Not really. There was plenty of water where I came from."
