Just finished my first 10 full sets of Steel armor. Only shirt, leggings, helms, gauntlets and high boots.

But it feels like quite the accomplishment. :)

I don't know if you need other ideas when you have magma.

Sorry, real life has interrupted my DF playing, I am going to go on a vacation and my parents are not letting me bring my laptop. I still might be able to play some on my dad's laptop, but I won't have internet so I cannot post.
Update:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It is now the summer of 82. There have been lots of creatures coming from the caverns, so I have assigned a constant guard of 10 militia. A troll came and killed 7 more of my dwarves. My drink supplies are running low and 5 of my dwarves have gone insane. Right now I am trying to prevent a tantrum spiral.

And I'm over here trying to cause a tantrum spiral...

!!!WARNING!!! THIS POST CONTAINS LANGUAGE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 12 !!!WARNING!!!

18th Malachite:
We're moving our workshops down a few floors as with out farms. I've cancelled half the bedrooms because chances are we won't ever need them. Lots of the dwarves are still severely injured and everyone is still in a shit mood. I'm going to get a sculpture garden set up so that we can all get cheery.

10th Galena:
Our farmer just went STARK RAVING MAD. I know times are down but can't these idiots look forward to the future? We were just about to dig for candy! Everyone else is cheering up, but this bastard is batshit insane!

18th Galena:
Our miners dug right into the roof of the caverns. I'm going to try and see if the mason can wall of the nearby area.

26th Galena:
Our miners found the second caverns. Having the mason wall off this ASAP. We'll probably tap into the water down here to fill a cistern and other useful things.

5th Limestone:
ALAS! Today our miners breached the third cavern which contained DELICIOUS CANDY! When the caravans arrive we'll buy some bars to train smiths and have a candy clad army in no time!

18th Limestone:
Eight more migrants! Welcome company, I was fearing moutainhomes forgot us and would let us die out. Looks like we must now get ready to trade.

4th Sandstone: We just found the farmer who went crazy, he was dehydrated in the booze stockpile. What a tard.

1st Timber: Today my miners found the magma sea. We managed do dig right past it initially and create stairs all the way down the the SMR. We begin searching for admantite today.

13th Timber: A group of snail people corpses came from the sea, looks like there might be another leroy jenkins style mass draft the get rid of these monstrosities.

24th Timber: We found our fisherman dead today. The trade caravans from our /IMP/ious leaders at mountainhomes are arriving. Time to sell the massive amount of doors we have been mass producing and buy some bronze items to melt.

16th Timber: For some reason the world went backwards a few days. I guess the Pope had to fix the calendar again. It's weird because I don't remember any traders that supposedly came earlier on... Oh there they are! Just in the nick of time. But I highly doubt their intelligence, they arrived from on top of the frozen ocean. They also have a male horse, maybe some pollen will fertilize one of our female ones. A meat industry would be nice.

19th Moonstone:
Forgotten beast was heard roaming around in the caverns. Hopefully the walls will keep us safe, although it is swimming around in the cave lakes. Looks like we'll need a military before we even get water. FUN!

25th Moonstone:
I had our miners start digging out a VERY LARGE new dining room today.

7th Opal
The forgotten beast seems to have wandered off, I had our miners put the dining room on pause to dig out a deep underground cistern.

16th Opal
Due to some mishaps we ran out of beer and had no water, we lost our mechanic today and hopefully the cistern and booze production will pick up soon... unfortunately general moods are down. I'll get that new dining room up and running ASAP!

23rd Obsidian:
Two or three kobold thieves and a few goblin snatchers attacked today. Hopefully we'll have time to get a military going before the first ambush arrives. One of the goblins stabbed our mason and he died. Looks like we need another new mason. We count four dead dwarves. Hopefully migrants will come soon. Only three of our original men remain and our miners just threw tantrums.

25th Obsidian: A forgotten beast appeared in one of the caverns. I hope it doesn't swim into my cistern, the one I just realized overflowed into the magma layers. SHIT.realized that our cistern overflowed due to pressure issues and our magma workshops got flooded....

I'm still here!

Things are moving along great!

I had a logging incident and haven't been able to type for two weeks, but I'm firing the fort back up again tonight!

Glad to see such progress all around.
