Pedal to the metal.

Stopping to see whatever it is, ain't nobody got no time for that. The wheels squeal for a moment, and the truck lurches forward. You can catch a flash of black and white in the rear view mirror, however, but you quickly outdistance the animal, whatever it is, and it's barking.

Zombie dogs would really scare you. But you haven't seen a zombified animal, so there's a first time for everything.

You pull onto the road, and the tumbling, messy ride turns much smoother. Thank god, because the truck has nothing in the ways of comfortable shocks. You head down the road, hoping to come to town.

There's an issue. What do you do when you reach town? Do you go straight into town with the truck, or do you stop farther away and walk in? You might rustle up attention, but leaving the truck could be an issue as well. You could ride your bike into town, possibly. But as you start to see the signs of civilization, you need to make a choice.

...wait, what? We found a perfectly functional house with water, fields full of crops and a stocked wine cellar and we left to go find zombies instead?

Wine > zombies, in my opinion.

Find a living girl amidst the ruins, then back to the wine cellar, que victory music and rolls credits.

Read it again. I'm fairly certain it said the wine was all spilled over the floor, sadly. But yeah, I see your point. But disturbing the dead like that wouldn't exactly be ethical.

Throw in some other team mates and some more playtime and I agree.

Not sure we need a victory orgy.

((To bash their brains in?

Mesor was the only one who suggested anything, so we're riding into town also.

WEE-WOO, DINNER BELL))

You feel brave, so you take the truck and drive slowly into town. It's quite small, a few convenience stores, a gas station, a restaurant, some motels, even a used-car lot that is missing all of it's cars. You could go to the convenience stores and restaurants for food and water, the gas station to try and siphon gas, and maybe there is a mechanic's shop around you can use to fix the truck if it falls apart, which it seems likely to do at any second.

Luckily for you, you haven't attracted anything yet. Maybe because the town is so small, the zombies have been hibernating for too long to give a fuck. Don't try to push it, though.

((Anyway, wine cellar was busted.

All of it.

A dorf's nightmare.))

((Plundering it is, then.))

You park the truck next to the gas station, and head inside. There's a lot of food and general crappy stuff strewn all over the floor, but you manage to snag a bag of chips and a water bottle. Plus, to your absolute delight, a pair of Bud-Lights.

Why is an American brand in England?

Because OP is too damn busy to look up English alcohol Maybe it's because Americans are always too pushy with everything. You snag a cone-thing, you have no idea what they are called, and some clear tubing. You could siphon gas with this, if you need to.

You're also starting to feel hungry, and some of that food in your backpack is tantalizing. A dry patch in your throat also started to form. Maybe it's time to take a break, or should you get the hell out of dodge first?
