And this is just plain awesome.  This could be more than just "loss"; it could be "beautiful, majestic main theme that plays during plot-advancing cinematics."  . . . Does it even belong in a game based on this forum?  (I kid.)

Both. Some of these are arrangements of songs I wrote 10+ years ago, and some are arrangements of songs made by others, which have dropped off the face of the internet since the late 90's. In either case, none of them have seen use, and were all made for the RPGMaker Communities of yesteryear.

I honestly don't compose much these days. I've not played with a musical group in years, am without a working MIDI-Compatible keyboard, and have generally been outside the music world for some time. In the last year or so, I've been kinda itching to do stuff again though, and arranging old tunes is a good way to stretch old muscles. I've got a horde of unused melodies and such on my old hard drive, bits of songs scribbled into old notebooks, and riffs hummed as a voice memo into my cellphone... and have even had dreams that contain fully orchestrated musical numbers, which I try to scribble down or hum the major details of before they fade.

The relationship me and music share has been a complicated one. :I

Sounds terrific.  I love creative stuff: myself, I have a massive text file of all the snippets of story ideas that have occurred to me over the years.  And ANOTHER file full of quotes and weird bits of inspiration.

Also sound terrific.  I have had various independent game music thingies going through my playlist.  I've been leaning away from most anything with words (i.e., what plays on the radio) and listening to things that create a mood (e.g., what plays in videogames).
