After this much wait time, we should get a free 5 EP into energy storage just to represent our ability to wait patiently without dying. :P

No, we should get an ability that stops us from using hunger after we don't move for one minute and until we move again. :P

It's in a fully comatose state, the family is considering unplugging it from life support, it's a very sad affair.

Well if we ate a violin we would have its DNA, so presumably we could then turn into a violin, and be played.  Then we become a violin that digests our players, all the while excreting chemicals that make them very attached to us.  We will be the worlds first haunted violin.

You immediately work on making sure that the surrounding area is clear. Plants, plants, mud, debris and a lot of water. Besides the movement in the water, you don't seem to be in any danger. You take position and begin to morph into a new form.

-5 Evo
-4 Hunger

You look exactly the same as you were previously; all the changes seem to have happened within the body...Well you don't notice any extra limbs or phenotype changes anyway. You do however feel far more quicker and observant. You notice that several of the surrounding plants seem to have deviously shaped flowers and you feel that it would not at all be a good idea to get near them. Further, you notice that fermroot several of the surrounding debris seems to be arranged in an artificial way; something placed them in a pattern. Looking around, they seem to be preventing the water from overflowing any further. Oh and yes, you can digest food much more efficiently. Speaking of food, your starving.

The welif seems to have stopped struggling; you can see chunks of it surface now and then, but they're quickly taken down by some finned-creatures. Most of the mice seem to have dispersed, although you notice that a few have been watching you for some time. These 'sentry-mice' are slimmer from the other mice, you think.

Violins don't have violin DNA, they're not organisms.

Anyways...

Well then we'll also have to be this worlds first organic violin.

Drink water and murder mice.

Uhh... I dunno if we can take 'em guys.
Maybe we should make a slow but determinate walk towards them, and gauge their reaction?  If they flinch, or start to run, then we should grind them and eat.
If they stand strong, or also appear aggressive, we shouldn't attack their superior numbers and armament.  Then we should find a plant, but make sure we are not showing cowardice, just disinterest, in case they decide to follow.

And maybe the next thing we should evolve should be either better legs so we can move faster or some kind of weapon.  Can we evolve legs from the mice we ate?

Definitely get ourselves a drink.  If we can snag a welif chunk or some of its blood in the water without getting too close to the swimmers, great, but let's not get dragged down again by getting too bold.

Avoid the mice for the moment.  Even if we can take them, we're too low on energy right now.  We have no stamina for a struggle.  We can make an attempt if we get some energy from blood in the water or a welif scrap.
