Throw bugs at them!
there are surely mages' experiments and eldritch centipedes lying around!
also set traps on any chasm you can find!
and finally make sure this is not an adventuring place.

Well, your plans of what to do with the dwarves' fortress pretty quickly evaporated. The place is a room, maybe 20×25 feet, with the jaggedly smooth walls of a room shaped by magic. The room is about ten feet high, and filled about two feet deep with corpses. There is a door in the far wall.
Looking around, you see a wand.

-----

Bear in mind, you're about three feet tall.

in two feet deep you mean a chasm?
if not a chasm loot the bodies!
then grab the wand and ask magibold about it.

and DON'T make a noise, we don't know what might be behind that door.

No, the bodies are in a pile which is two feet deep through most of the room.

Clearly a refuse pile.

Well, block it off for now, and get back to preparing for them migrants.

Mostly human, but a fair number of goblins and orcs. If you check more carefully, you might be able to see if there are any elf or dwarf or kobold corpses.

You grab the wand and hand it to I'Gix. ((Why does she keep rolling so well?)) She identifies it as some sort of stone-shaping wand.

You hear a sound coming from the door. It sounds like one person.

You gesture for your friends to come after you. Scrambling quietly across the piles of corpses, you manage to get most of the wat there before the door opens.
An orc, seven feet tall and dressed in bad-smelling but well-maintained robes, steps into a small clearing in the corpses. He glares at the three of you, clears his throat, and utters a few words in your tongue.
"What you vermin doing in my house [building]?"

We are the Kobold Building Inspectors of course. Ask him who is he, what his Legal relationshop to the building, and if he is legally responsible how he can leave a corpse pile unzoned. Ask him why human miners were wandering around. Ask him in what manner does he make use of the building. If commercial, explain that he is unregistered for a cave in this area.

Okay, fine.

The world, and you, freeze for a moment. Then it restarts, the orc gives you an odd look, and you run into the cavern. The orc follows.
