Maria continues to hold onto the necklace.

^{"Well, if you're going to do that, try putting it on."}

"...Okay?"

And so Maria does.

((And I said I couldn't think of a reason. SCIENCE!))

"So, what's going on with Lucas?"

^{"Who knows?"}

Maria seems to blank out, and her body puts it back, while she finds herself in a desert. A mountain can be seen on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Lucas appears in a strange black walled complex. He wanders the halls, and comes across a window. Outside it, is a large Room, patrolled by Shadowy figures, which have various strips of orange glowing on them. A shining door can be seen at the end of it. The hall leads to a armory, with Old weapons lining the walls. He chooses a Wickedly Curved Blade. The floor lifts him up, and he finds himself in the room he saw before.
I feel like I should be... Afraid. I don't know why. But, if Lenuru says so...
He sneaks along the room.

[Twi]

"Oh dear. That may not have been the best of ideas."

Maria heads towards the mountain.

Camille notices that Maria is blanking.

^{"Uh oh. Shouldn't have said that."}

She takes Maria and starts working on her. Whee clockwork diagnostics.

[SomeStupidGuy]

"You alright, Maria?"
James pokes her carefully, then lifts the necklace to examine it a little.

[Twi]

^{"Touching the necklace may not be the best idea. I can't tell from here.~"}

Camille is carefully avoiding adventure touching the necklace. Not that she really needs to try right now.

[OREOSOME]

Maria eventually comes to a set of ruins at a fork in the path. On the right side, a village made of Prefabricated Buildings sits. On the left, a Canyon, which appears to have been part of an ancient city.

Lucas finds himself face to face with one of the shadowy figures. It lifts a blade, and the shadow around its face begins to dissipate. The human face revealed fills him with horror, but he doesnt know why. It seemed... familiar. Like an old friend. It cackles, and strikes at Lucas, who rolls away, sword ready to fight.

James also finds himself at the Crossroads, alongside Maria.

"If touching the necklace is dangerous, then let me touch it!"
Allie grabs the necklace.

Alcron merely facepalms.

[Twi]

^{"I told ya so!....What."}

Maria looks at James.

"Looks like I'm not the only fool. So... Where to?"

^{"Touching the necklace may not be the best idea. I can't tell from here.~"}

"Well, I'm not putting it on. So, I'll probably be fi-..."
James sighs upon finding himself in an entirely different place.

Maria looks at James.

"Looks like I'm not the only fool. So... Where to?"

"Dammit... Oh, hi Maria. Mountains, I guess."

[Twi]

"Right then. Let's go."

She heads to the prefabs. Did she hear him right?

Camille appears to have activated something in Maria's physical body. Oops.

"Warning: Lack of consciousness unit detected. Searching...."

It appears to be trying to magic Maria back into Maria. This is, of course, assuming what it supposedly said is accurate.

^{"That...doesn't sound good."}

James just follows after her, not really caring enough to argue one way or the other.

Adrian sighs, walks up and touches the necklace.

[OREOSOME]

Allie and Adrian also appears with them, as they head to the right.
The path seems strangely deserted. But the wind seems to warn of a coming danger. A vaguely insectoid creature comes from between two prefabs. It lets out a screech, and launches several globs of spit at the group. The sound of Chitin plated creatures approach, not just the sound of 6 legged things, but at least 1 biped.
---Meanwhile, in the Hive...---
The thing trying to pull Maria's consiousness back in somehow fails... the crystals rotate faster in response.

Lucas slices at the Shrouded being. It lets out a screech, and crumples to the ground. The shadow around it disappears... The man revealed seems in pain, and sad. Lucas sees a flash, of that man, instead on a snowbank, with that same expression of sadness,resignation, and fear. He cuts the mans head off, and the head comes off somewhat with a smile. He continues sneaking, and makes it to the exit, where 4 shadows loom. 1 seems to be a Lizard of some sort, another a Bug, A human, and a set of gems, held together by lightning. They all wield various blades.

"More fools! And danger!"

Maria does her favorite thing: unheal them to death. Hopefully.

She is suddenly ticking much louder than usual.

The machine is still doing it's thing, because it really wants to have Maria's consciousness back, damn it. Also, if it messes up, Maria's body maaay end up with someone else controlling it.

"Warning..."
