I was a Archaeologist, sort of. You know, Check out new layered stations and stuff, find some scrap parts, et cetera. Once, I saw this one old ship. Think it might've been a old Protoss ship, infested by the... what do you call them, Zerg? Couldn't get the smell of creep off me for a month.

She smiles, lowering her head.

"It'ssss gooood that it didn't rrrrain metal. I'd imagine that wooould have hurrrt. What wassss yooourrr family like?"

"Good, simple people. Apothecarians, both of my parents, had a younger sister and brother too. They left our home to escape the plague with some of our neighbours, can't really blame them." Bartholomew says, not a tinge of contempt in his voice.

"They did want to live, and I think they did the right thing, they're probably trying to help people their own way."

Three floating pairs of giant dice appear nearby.

"Oh bloody hell."

Camille smirks. ^{"What is this, a random encounter?"}

She quickly packs up her stuff so it doesn't get in harm's way and arms herself.

Maria puts her hand on her sword instead of her book.

The first dice turns to Maria and strikes her with lightning.

Richard takes out his Evoker.

"You ever see a real life summoner, Camille?"

Allie is shaken by the dice attacking people. She starts charging her electricity.
"Annother one of them. Time to kill."

[OREOSOME]

What should I do? I dont have a weapon!
Lucas takes out the rifle, and switches to Kinetics mode.
Stay Behind me, and try not to get hit.
He opens fire on the dice which hit Maria.
Meanwhile... The pod begins to activate another proceedure...

^{"You know, something about that thing looks awfully familiar..."}

"It's his summoning device. Doesn't actually shoot anything."
^{"Ah. And sadly no. Although nanite clouds can have a pretty similar effect."}

Maria is zapped and is... irritated, but not really damaged. Unlike most robots, she doesn't exactly short circuit. She takes her sword and tries to slice apart the die that attacked her.

Camille just opts for shooting them with bullets.

"Yay, I can be useful."
James takes his sabre out and slashes at the nearest die.

The die shake the bullets off like they're nothing.
They also shrug off the slashes.

Richard mutters something as he summons Sarimanok.

"Resistant to slashing ad piercing..."

"Or not. Dammit."

[OREOSOME]

Dangit. cover me, I'm switching to Beamer mode.
His rifle begins to shift configuration to switch the firing mechanism out.

The die retaliate by striking Camille, Lucas and Maria with lightning.

Richard dives behind a chair, Sarimanok floating in front of it.
