Allie pulls Garret into the nearby forest and removes the duct tape from his mouth.

"Are there any more of you?"
"Y-yes- we've got a camp."
"Where is it? How big?"
"I c-can't tell you that-t."
"Garret, while harming you is something we want to avoid, if we have to, we will."

Garret bursts into a sobbing mess and is unintelligable while Allie facepalms. She puts the covering back on his mouth and brings him back to the truck.

The Lost suddenly bubbles up from the Earth behind Richard, its tar black slowly rising into a human shape. It taps him on the shoulder, leaving a dark residue on his clothes.
