She tilts her head, then shrugs, moving to Ke. With a flash of her eyes, the quieted snake-girl just falls flat, unconcious.

Bryan continued to recite a summary of Torikan history as Richard carried him, describing the species' first ventures to nearby solar systems from their homesystem of 18 Scorpii, and the resulting civil wars sparked by competition for territory.
