"In my defense, back where I come from, coming back to life just costs like half your money. So, I uh... kinda forgot that we're not there."

"...What? Okay, I'm sorry we left you in a cabin with a homicidal guy."
((Would sig but I need my sig for shameless advertising of my crappy mods. :P ))
((Woo, my first theoretical sigging.))
"Back where I come from, to get revived takes someone else with the same ability as you pumping spiritual energy into you until they nearly die themselves and get thrashed like a penguin in a leopard seal exhibit."

"Where I come, if you die, you get buried."

She shrugs and grins wryly.

"Dying's for narbs. Living's the new fashion."

Richard smirks.

"Back where I come from, only the really wealthy can afford to be revived. And it's not really being revived so much as replacing most brain functions with a tiny computer which is refitted into a new body when the old body dies. It's weird, to say the least."

"I am well... Thank you ssssssso much!"
"You are welcome." he says before turning to Bryan and massaging the man's throat carefully, checking on his face afterwards and opening his mouth afterwards. "So, how are you feeling right now? Any strange feelings of something burning?"

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Dying's still a big deal where I come from. Fairly hard to revive someone when you're getting pounded yourself."

"Then there's the population of Ra, which went a different route for immortality. Ra was a fairly standard tide-locked airless ball of rock, until they unleashed some kind of robots upon the surface. The robots started converting the planet into computational substrate, and covered the sunward side in huge photovoltaic arrays. Last time I checked, the planet was computational substrate to a depth of one kilometer. The populace uploaded itself into said giant computer, and haven't really interacted with anybody else, except for some basic trade, since."

"Not really. A mild tingling, but that's about it."

Bartholomew stands still for a bit - staring at Bryan's face - before smiling. "It also seems to have cleaned your teeth and mouth quite well. Here, these are great for most poisons and for bucal hygiene."

He offers a small ball of mashed-up herbs and leaves. "I wish I could find more of those, though. Judging by how this place is, we might be facing more trouble soon." One of his hand goes to the strip of cloth around his arm, tightening the knot.

Lucas yawns, and says,
"Did anything happen while I was asleep? I fell asleep at about... I'd say three.
