Sufficiently advanced tech could use a semi-smart AI specifically designed with a huge Decipher Language skill in order to figure out any language within a few minutes of hearing it.

But what about words of which do not have a translation into English, in a manner similar to the German word "Doch"?

Then it would use as many words as needed to explain the word.

Just because it doesn't translate into a word, doesn't mean that it can't be translated into a phrase.

Speaking of old characters, I'm probably going to retcon Richard to make him more interesting. As freeformschooler said a couple of pages back, most of our characters revolved around powers rather than personality (Camille, Angerus and pre-shipper!Alith, among others notwithstanding), and I don't think I necessarily did a good job with mine (Alith notwithstanding).

And there aren't any catgirls to ship Richard with, so DRINKING BUDDIES FOR THE WIN.
