Embark? Embark.

Any advice? Will I get three seperate tower sieges at once, plus a goblin siege too?

They aren't close enough for all three to siege, sadly. But you will get goblins.

But they showed up in the little close-by civs thing. Eh, I'll get one to siege. Plus goblins. This is exactly the challenge I need to get back into fortress mode.

They show up, but you need to be ten tiles on the local map to get sieged.

If it's on the civ screen, prepare for a siege.
Even if it's friendly.

Yeah, I had five towers as neighbors once. Result: two or three simultaneous necro sieges at the end of year 2. Strangely, only three zombies showed up (plus a few necromancers in hiding).
So, have Fun with your necro surprise visits.

With exceptionally long gen worlds, 5000-10000 years you can get a boatload of towers if you need more of a challenge. I got a world with an embark next to 9 towers if you like. I imagine its brutal, I didn't even try. I was genning worlds for fun.

This is what I did. Set it for 2000 and waited. This is only 720 years in actually.

Please.

This is an actual screenshot. My previous attempt ended when a zombie dwarf was locked in with three survivors - I thought they could take him, except then I noticed the zombie water buffalo and zombie horse inside too.

I had already reclaimed once (the first time I had forgotten to purchase any additional items on embark), so the ground was covered with livestock skeletons. Fun times :)

Oh, I though this was going to be something awesome like, you making 3 huge towers and linking them with bridges.

I got a map at home that has in the southwestern corner some 30-ish towers. The best (worst?) embark gave you ten or twenty as neighbors.

I tried uploading it to DFFD, bu it didn't work...
