Anyway, let's get to the actual game.
Firstly, how should we have our island?


Note: Larger islands with a lot of rivers and trees are the easiest and most cost effective.

Ohey Operation Genesis! I remember being all confused back when I played it cause I was unsuccessfully looking for the place where the save files were stored so I could change the population limit

If they're startled by, say, a thunderstorm, for example, they could potentially break down the walls. I'm not sure, though, because I've only seen the smaller dinosaurs actually escape and they just climb over the fences. Of course, this is if security is terrible, which would make people not come to the park.

The basic question is, of course, "How dangerous can we make this, while still maintaining a tourist population?"  There's a fine line of manslaughter and profitability that must be walked.

If it's anything like Rollercoaster Tycoon, then a free balloon stand will suffice.

I think the jeeps would be more dangerous than the balloon tour.



Also I propose we have some fun with  the helicopter's shooting mode once we can afford to lose some dinos

Free balloon stand sounds wonderful, but the problem is that balloons are a dollar each, so I'd be losing a dollar with each person.
Also, you don't start off with the souvenir stand, you have to research it, which is a bit expensive and then buying the stand itself.
It'll be a fun thing, though, to make the park as exciting(dangerous) as possible while still making a profit.
Right now, I need to know what kind of island you guys want. Anyone else want to make/+1 a suggestion?

I saw.

You'd lose a dollar on the balloon, but while they're walking around you can lure them to the Giant Dinosaur Death Tour along the unenclosed section of unsupervised beach.  Balloons are free, the ride is $20 - unfortunately there's not many repeat customers.

I don't quite understand. If dinosaurs were allowed to roam free, not only would be the people feel unsafe, they'd also run, screaming, and never return. The park's rating would drop and INGEN would be complaining at me. The safari ride can only be entered and exited at one side and it has to be built on top of a fence.

Also, once I'm done with this thing my sister is having me doafter dinner, I'm just going to roll a die against the current island suggestions and go with that.

I'm playing about now, muddling through tutorials.  I'll find a way to make this park killer yet!

This one looks nice. I plan on placing the gate in the middle of the island.

And so it begins.



Here's a good spot for the entrance, I would think.

We start off with a Dryosaurus with 74% of its DNA(which gives it a 1 year lifespan) and a Ceratosaurus with 55% of its DNA(which gives it a 6 month lifespan.).

I've set the fossil hunters to dig. Right now, we've only got 1 spot to dig from. When we get the ability to unlock new spots, I'll let you guys choose them for me. So far, they've uncovered Ceratosaurus remains, which we can extract for DNA and enhance the lifespan of that species.

I've built us a simple central area for the guests to hang out before viewing the dinosaurs.



So, should we exibit a Dryosaurus or a Ceratosaurus, first? Dryosaurus are the least popular dinosaurs, but we're able to accommodation them.
Ceratosaurus are a little more popular than Dryosarus, however, we'd have to use a low security fence until we research medium security fence, which is the minimum security required for them.
Also any recommendations on what to research? Things I recommend are: Weather Guard, Medium Security Fence, Resting Area, and various vaccines.
I can get a full list of researchable things, if you guys want.

Pfff, more security fences? What kind of commie OSHA bullshit park are you running here? We've got security fences, why waste money on more? It isn't like the inspectors know what does and what does not effectively contain a fuckin' dinosaur, we're the first ones to do it! Research the Resting Area, that's what the people want! And definitely go with the fuckin' Ceratosaurus, we need as much money as possible.

Time to get rich, boys.
