Dariush:  Why didn't you renew your Shakerag vote?

Urist I:  Why open up on D3 about activity when you had a different case on a different person D2?

More tomorrow- need to get a couple questions (and a vote test) out tonight.  Also, this.

Not Voting  - 2 -  TolyK, Deathsword

Heh.  Looks like they were too scared to bus.

Because I reread over the night and I'm stupid. The meat of Dariush's case came from the same post as the insult (I had thought that Dariush's case had come first, but he didn't do anything about it until he was insulted).

Dariush:
Also, I've got two theories. First theory: Kommandant. Second theory: LNCP intentionally made all the, frankly, weakest players spies so that everyone else would be distracted from the real, as of yet unknown threat.
Your second theory is shit, for one very simple reason: replacements.

Mod: Why would the Kommandant refer to "spies" (plural) in the D3 opener when three of the four are dead?

Hey Shakerag,[...]
@Toaster: Huh?

Hapah: You believe flavor plays a lead into figuring out the killer? What does mud have to do with this? (It's a real sunny day.)

Extend. Trying to reread, limited success.

Back, sorta.

Does anyone else find it unusual that DS was found, throat slit, at the edge of the camp? Think about it.

At first I thought maybe he was killed in his sleep and his body dragged to the edge of the camp. That doesn't really make sense, though: Why would someone kill DS in his sleep and them move him, but not bother to hide the corpse? There were no signs of a struggle (which I originally thought meant sleep-kill, but that doesn't work), which I think means he knew his attacker, maybe? And he was killed and left where he fell. How else can it be explained? You'd think even if a vigi got the drop on him there'd be some signs of struggle.

Any ideas? Maybe the 4th Spy is a turncoat/3rd party? Maybe there are different spy factions?
This is an interesting observation, though.

What interests me most is what he was doing on the edge of camp in the first place. Spy shenanigans, or could that have been related to the thing we're searching for?

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. Nope. What I think that move was going to accomplish was to hasten the spies' demise, not to ensure that all four die before any townies do so.

Dariush:  Why didn't you renew your Shakerag vote?
Because I didn't notice that voting for a non-votable entity counts as an unvote. Shakerag.

What is your deal with IO without any basis in that post there?
...Really? Did you simply not read the entire game between about the time IO came back from the lurk-o-session and my last post of D2?
Not exactly. From where I see it, you've voted IronyOwl because he called you an imbecile while not focusing on the additional 'crap' you state he got on you. Every other post is an answer to others' questions.
Oh, so you indeed did not read anything. In the very same post I accuse him for calling me an imbecile out of nowhere I accuse him of lying about me stealing his BMC case and intentionally not reading posts. Did you see that?
What makes it different now?
I'm developing a habit of doing a reread at the beginning of each day. I did that and noticed that at times I completely forgot that Shakerag was even in the game, his activity levels were that low. Simultaneously I considered that my vote on him would be more immediatly productive than on IO, thus my switch.
What is this 'unknown threat' of which you speak, mein sniper?
Are you an idiot? How can I tell you what is this unknown threat if it is unknown?
And why do you have perfume as TolyK said?
I don't. Or at least my PM doesn't mention it.
I was asking you on what your take was on what unknown was.

And what was that about possibility on having perfume?
What I suspect is that the artefact mentioned in the flavor is actually playing a role in what's happening. I.e. we have a watcher whose goal is to delay the lynch of spies for as long as possible, so we would be distracted from the artefact.

And I may possibly have perfume because my PM doesn't mention its absence either.

There's a flipped spy among us? What?

Oh.

OH.

Dariush:

Really...what? You vote the Kommandant and use that as an excuse to...scumhunt? How exactly is no reply from the Kommandant point out scum?

Dariush:  Why didn't you renew your Shakerag vote?

So you didn't bother to ask the Mod if he made a mistake in votecount and reinstated this?

Uhh.

What artefact are you talking about? How do spies get in this pattern which needs to...not be lynched?

What. I voted the Kommandant to see whether it's possible. It turned out to be not so, so I reverted to my previous target.

He jotted down my vote of Kommandant as an unvote. That means he saw it. I don't understand what you're getting at.

You are kidding me, right? The artefact which we were sent here to recover. Oh wait, not you, because you're scum who forgot your own supposed mission. And your second question makes no sense.

@Kommandant-vote-thing: Well, now we know what happens to those who vote the Kommandant - it's not on the list and we cannot reasonably vote him at all.

But you're speaking of the artefact as if you know more about it. @second: I was referring to the watcher-idea you had. And you giving a subtle inference on a limited number of days -

What is this 'Watcher' of which you suspect?

It goes off from your theory.
Also, I've got two theories. First theory: Kommandant. Second theory: LNCP intentionally made all the, frankly, weakest players spies so that everyone else would be distracted from the real, as of yet unknown threat. IO is still probably lying scum, but even he pales in comparison to Shakerag.

I wanted to quote the proper rules of using 'i.e.', but it appears that I misused it myself. Oh well.

I said I suspect that artefact has something to do with the setup. I'm not certain of it. This is merely my guess.

I said I suspect that there is a watcher. As in a role. Hint: a watcher is someone who needs to survive n days. I'm not certain of it. This is merely my guess.

It's quite amusing to watch how you cling to the theories as if they're solid statements while carefully gleaning over your own slips. Here, I'll remind you:
There's a flipped spy among us? What?

So ask LNCP and confirm, then.

Something strange is going on, but something resembling a plan is starting to come together in my head. I'll try to post it during lunch.
