Bugs Bunny Versus Miles Edgeworth
Eating Contest: Bugs Bunny wins this competition, mostly by being a cartoon charachter.
Sniping: Bugs Bunny wins here too, for having the natural skills to hide and having expierience dodging bullets, making up for his lack of marksmanship.
Being an Action Movie Actor: I actually think i'll give this to Miles Edgeworth, despite how well loved bugs bunny is, i doubt any movie studio would seriously consider him as the star of an action movie.
Count Dracula Versus Lord Soth
A game of Riddles: This one was harder to judge, both are intelligent ageless creatures with a lot of knowledge at their disposal, and former members of nobility at that. I could go into the history of each and explain why i think Lord Soth might have had more expierience with riddles, but i think what's more important is the archetype of each of the lords of Undeath. Following this archetype i could see the suave and cultured Count Dracula (very different then any portrayal of Vlad the Impaler) enjoying riddles, while i doubt the terse Lord Soth would see any point in them, therefore i give this to Dracula.
Acquiring Fangirls: I don't think this needs much explanation, Dracula wins.
Argueing on the Internet: I don't think either would be very good with technology, but if Lord Soth got annoyed with someone he could pull that word of death out on a sound file, which gives him an advantage over any troll.
Squirrel Girl Versus Sabre
Jousting: Sabre wins, as a seasoned warrior and member of the nobility.
Strip Poker: Think i'm gonna give this one to Sabre, she has the ultimate poker face, and i'm going to rule that using squirrels to spy on anothers cards is cheating.
Detective Work:This one i'm giving to squirrel girl, the woodland musical fodder can get into all sorts of nooks and crannies bigger folks cant.
Gordon Freeman versus Pheonix Wright
Pitting freinds against eachother: Regardless of his ethical code, Pheonix has a lot of skills useful in this pursuit, being a lawyer, he wins.
Computer Wizardry: Gordon freeman is a theoretical physicist with access to an extremely advanced built in computer system in his suit, therefore, there is no question.
Pick up Artistry: Gordon scares away all of the women in his mute creeperlyness, sadness ensues.
Taskmaster versus Black Mage
Lightsabre Duel: Taskmaster wins here, being the superior warrior.
Space Exploration: I should have mentioned, in this competition each contestant is given a small spacecraft that can be operated by one. This in mind, i think that this could go either way, but taskmaster has the advantage of a basic education, which includes the very basics of astrophysics.
Velociraptor Chainsaw Jousting: Black Mage loses on the first pass.
Spongebob versus Xenomorph
Dragon Slaying: The Xenomorph wins for being to hurt a dragon even in death, while sponebob probably couldn't hurt a dragon at all.
Maintaining Audience Interest: Spongebob wins here, lots of people think he's funny, while a real life portrayal of a xenomorph would probably horrify people of most societies.
Dogfighting: Recent evidence brought to my attention has lead me to believe that the Xenomorph would not lose this by default, as at least some incarnations of the creatures are capable of basic learning and problem solving. This in mind i believe that a higher likelihood of survival, in place of actual operative skill that neither possesses much of wins the competition. I believe the Xenomorph has a higher likelihood of surviving this encounter.
Xanatos versus Naruto:
Beauty Contest:Naruto wins by ninja magic. (Though Xanatos is certainly a handsome devil.)
Presidential Campaign: Xanatos has the influence, money, power and charisma to win a political position over any teenager.
Becoming more powerful: Pretty sure Xanatos wins this one too, acquiring power is his life's goal, one he continues to accomplish.
Captain Malcolm Reynolds versus A Dreadnought
Memory Games: I guess this one goes to the supersoldier in a warcoffin of death.
Spying: It has been brought up that theoretically a dreadnought could hack machines, while an interesting thought there isn't really precedent, and i don't think it would make up for the wiles of an accomplished criminal.
Building Robots: Dreadnought wins! Mal isn't even the most skilled mechanic, nevermind about basic robotics or computer programming.
This is my (mostly) final decision, i could theoretically be swayed on one point or another before i post round two, if you're quick about it. As it stands round two will consist of:
Bugs Bunny vs. Dracula
Sabre vs. Pheonix Wright
Taskmaster vs. Xenomorph Soldier
Xanatos vs. A Dreadnought
