Dwarfiness in roofing the whole courtyard. And why would we make a puny trench when we could make a huge, steep moat?
because you can't make a huge, steep moat. plus, moats are useless versus flying undead ravens, a wall arround a large courtyard would take a long time, and we don't really need surface space. so, one small tower to keep a watcher and give us something physical to block our entrance is all the defense we need

For now, I agree. Later on we should expand out surface defenses. I don't think PA's sieger will forget to take siege weaponry or how to dig.

Ravens can fly over towers, and the tower won't protect the llamas. And why can't we make a big moat? We. Are. DWARVES!

The tower does prevent flying enemies from entering, and it's higher point of view allows easier shooting.

What about a compromise:
-Dariush + Datan: Construct tower
-Datan: Make spikes from poles, to prevent people from jumping over.
-Donut: Make an inner ditch, and if finished another larger one around the lamas too(Ie, green line on my sketch). Or maybe ditch the inner ditch and go straight for a large ditch. Remember to dump the dug out ground to one side.

Also, are we going to do anything about the skeletal moose men.

Oh, yeah, them. Unless we need more bolts, we can ignore them for now.

Undead birds may be a concern but that could be solved with a watchtower for early alert and a way to seal off the fort. We need to get everything we can underground though.

On the lines of characters doing things... Gamur should start planting, maybe plump helmet spawn? And complain he doesn't have much to work with if someone gets hurt.
Also, are we getting slowly surrounded by monsters? XD

As long as we get some sort of trench or wall or walled trench or whatever set up, no complaints here. Food is good.

we have no seeds. he should instead start to brew booze out of all the brewable plants we have, taking care to save the seeds

So...one guy plants, one guy digs a trench with steep walls, one guy builds a little bunker over the entrance, four guys go neener neener neener at the skeletal moose men. Any problems with any part but the last?
