It's not the strangest theft to have ever happened, there was that one time in Russia where an entire fucking bridge vanished overnight and was never seen again.
How in the fuck do you steal a bridge without notice?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I imagine it involved a theft of several plasma cutters/ jaws of life over the months previously in order to make transportation easier.

I don't know. No one ever caught the thieves, and it wasn't an unused bridge either. The heating plant workers noticed quite immediately that it was gone when they tried to go to work the next morning.

One hypothesis I've heard is that they sailed a flat boat under it and just cut the supports, but I think that would fail spectacularly and sink their boat.

i have never seen maple syrup .

and mini coopers are the best in stealing any kind of syrup , they may be expensive , small , slow and unconvenient , but they do the job or at least half if they don't crash and explode on the way .

i have never seen maple syrup .

You have not lived. Just make sure you get real maple syrup not table syrup or "original" syrup. Real maple syrup is like an orgasm in your mouth, only societally acceptable to enjoy with family.

A stolen bridge for scrap metal...
3.75 million litres of maple syrup...

Somewhere, on an uncharted island far off the pacific coast, the world's largest waffle iron is being built. The Guineass World Records will never see this coming.

Technically, you could accomplish that by napalming the majority of South America.
