after few weeks of playing DF you will understand the sour poop-like truth , that you cannot win in this game .

it will be the miasma cloud that will snap the sanity of your swordsmaster , the angry mob that will fight to death because your military killed a trained invader mount , the slow urist that has claimed to pull the lever to close the main gate from the other side of the map while your fort is under attack or the lever labyrinth where all the levers look the same and you pull the wrong one .... will be the reason your fort is destroyed .

unless you lose because of bugs like when you attack trained invader mounts , your dwarves start killing each other .

it is fairly amusing to see your swordsmaster kill his children and wife by chopping off all limbs .
