Check the staircase for traps and giant spiders.

[18 + 5] The staircase doesn't seem to contain any traps or giant spiders.

Malaken shall open the door and proceed cautiously!

You cautiously open the door.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'll make a quick run back to the safe portion of the hallway, catch my breath, then hold my breath again, run down, and cut through as much of the web as I can with my sword.
If anyone has a torch, I steal "roguishly borrow" it and burn the webs away instead.

You take a torch from one of the AFK adventurers and use it to burn away the webbing, thus giving you a good look at what lays beyond.

Better is an obvious trigger, linked to nothing (but they don't know that)

Obvious trap trigger opens impassible, visible door.

Mace you say?
Driven by his desire for loot, Javier sneaks down and stealthily grabs the mace.
This dungeon was built by a lich, right? I keep my eyes and crossbow glued to the corpse on the couch. If it so much as moves an inch, I shoot it.

Recover from the episode, clean self, hold breath, charge into the room beyond the mist.

Suspect everyone of... being suspicious.

Also stay inbetween everyone because the middle is betterest.

Malaken shall rummage through the shelves closest to the door!

Whatever was in the jars, vials and bottles has long since evaporated away, or stopped reacting or something. They're completely useless, is what I'm saying. If you wanted to you could sell them as 'medicine' I guess.

Recover from the episode, clean self, hold breath, charge into the room beyond the mist.

You charge into the hallway beyond the mist at the same time that Javier makes a bid for the mace.

Driven by his desire for loot, Javier sneaks down and stealthily grabs the mace.

Scream OH SHIT before running off, saying "I don't even like maces! You can have your tomb back!"

Oh, and if you wind up in the mist, hold breath, keep running.

Stay behind people, and don't draw my weapon yet. "Hey, uhh, misunderstanding. You want the mace. I don't. It's your mace. No problems, right?"

Weeeeeeeeeell shit.
Okay, New guy...
Name: Tarmik the Magnificent
Class: Mage Stage Magician
Gender: Male
Spells: Mage hand, Magic Missile, Heal, Detect Magic, Dispel Magic, Fireball, Tricks of the trade(Produces a trivial magic effect, such as summoning a rabbit from a hat.)
Items: Spell components.

Head to the Lich battle. Stand in the back behind everyone else. If the Trueseeing gem survived, Magehand it to myself. If not, Fireball the lich and flee.
Yes, I do hold my breath while traveling through the corridor.

You cower bravely try to negotiate with the lich, but your efforts are in vain.

Weeeeeeeeeell shit.

Yes, I do hold my breath while traveling through the corridor.

Let's skip the bits where you wander to/into the dungeon, and get to the good bits, shall we? Only Javier's body got turned into dust, so you attempt to take the Trueseeing Gem with your mage hand.

[1] The gem scatters into some godforsaken corner of the room, probably because you put seven spells in your spellbook instead of five. Shame on you.

Run down the hallway, breath held, and ATTACK THE LICH WITH EVERYTHING!

Karas rushes down the corridor, and attacks the lich with everything he's got.

[15] And by everything he's got I mean his rapier. 1 damage

I the man GHM shall dispell the lich and if that dont work i will drop my staff run in pick up the mace and beat the lich with it. I do the same with my Mace of Confusion
edit crazy mage attackkkkkkkk!!!!!

[7] Dispelling the lich has no effect at all. I doubt that even with a natural 20 and seventeen other wizards backing you up you would be able to dispel such a powerful lich.

You move to pick up the mace, but the GM is not going to let you attack with it this round. You've already cast a spell, and it's only fair that the lich gets to cast one too.

[3] The voice of the lich falters for whatever reason. Probably because the mace is now shining with a bright, golden light.

Malaken shall search the whole room, oblivious to the fact that all hell has broken loose.

[9] Besides some sort of mummy hand from Libris Mortis, you find nothing. Well, you haven't searched the vats yet, mostly because they're full of murky water and Pelior knows what's swimming around in there.

Whoops. Must have missed that rule. Uh... Just forget fireball and Dispel Magic.
In that case, Magic Missile the Lich.

Damn that mist.

Get a hold of myself and investigate the chemical lab. Wrap a wet cloth around my nose and mouth before I go in first though.
