Three diplomats at once

I have three dwarf diplomats just sitting on the edge of my map.They wont come in , they wont go away and they wont die. >:(
What do I do?

This happened to me awhile ago. Got my dorfs inside, working away....
'Swordsdorf attacks the X!'

Didn't notice for a bit. 'what the hell is this?' I think, zoom to location...
There's an @ just hacking stuff apart alone at the map edge.

It seems that they are appearing with each migrant wave.I have four now >:(.

Edit: They have all gone to the trade depot since a liason showed up.

Not diplomats, just immigrants whose highest skill is trader. There's a bug that turns them into dwarven civ traders. Since the AI has no clue what to do with them, they just hang around in more or less the same place until the dwarven caravan comes. Occasionally they'll move a few tiles, but until they do, your immigration wave is stalled.

DFHack has a command to fix this. (cursor over to one of them and 'tweak fixmigrants') but other than that you can't do anything with them or to them.

Not exactly - they are former merchants from a previous caravan that decided to join your fortress, but the game never bothered to clear the "merchant" flag on them.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

That's awesome.

I wondered why I had a swordsdorf with a decent sword and armour before I'd even started forging a military-- because goddamn you know none of those useless beekeepers are going to migrate with some useful items.
Also wondered why I couldn't control him, but since he had the icon for an outpost liason :/
