"Not much to this day, The Peasants are cutting wood, but that's it. I did not come to sell you anything. Yet. I came to issue a formal greeting, this is more-so for the future so we may be Great Allies together in any times full of Hardship and for when I do have something to trade to you, and if there is something lacking, which My albeit small County could produce. It would be a shame if I started producing something we have in abundance nearby and loose many thousands of coin for it. Wouldn't you think?"
Fixed Spelling and made it seem more formal and, thiiiiiiis.

((The formal title for a Knight is Ser not Sir.))

The local lord agrees to a trade pact and informs you that especially leather, good beer and spices are very rare in the area. He agrees to visit your village in some time and says that he will bring a vassal of himself along. You decide NOT to start a pact against one of the mightiest men in the kingdom protected by the king himself, it would also be obvious of who would do such a thing as only a few families hold a grudge against the finance minister Eraklion. The lord of Drash is pleased by your formal speech to him, agreeing to a formal alliance, not yet, but maybe later.

I will not write down how much time has exactly passed, it just feels wrong for me, either it's going too slow or too fast, if I just do these turns then some will happen in less time and some in more, thus balancing themselves. As for production I just take one turn as one production turn, no matter how much time has gone, exceptations might be if we speak on court later, or are in a battle.

Arrange a meeting with the Elder and inquire about what it would take to train teachers and build a schoolhouse.

Yeah. I intend to make our people educated.

How's religion gonna be in this? I'd imagine if we're going somewhat-realistic we're go to need Monks if we want to educate anyone.

Also, it would be good to begin establishing a militia. Nothing big for now, just so the bandits don't stab all the serfs to death.

Instead of making vague statements such as "nothing big" please just give me numbers, it's hard for me to make a good deal for everyone, just fo rexample say: Attempt to train 5 villagers into Militia's.
Cost of establishing a militia together with basic equipment such as basic leather armor would be arround 5 gold pieces a man.
And Religion is pretty realistic, standard is christian catholic, however, not only monks can read, one of twenty peasants would be able to read and maybe one out of hundred can write and use basic mathematics.

Where'd you get that information? This is probably going to sound a lot more hostile than I intend it, but I've never heard of such a thing. Probably because I've never looked for it.

Anyway, if you want specifics:

Reserve 5 villagers for militia duty, query Eldery McElderton about construction of a training ground.

Compose a letter to the Duke of Shanaria, stating:
"Milord Duke ______ of Shanaria,
I would like to humbly request the services of a monk trained in religion, writing, and basic mathematics in order to educate the populace of my lands in Christianity, and to make regular sermons to prevent heretics.
Yours Sincerely,
Sir Rodney Domilian

Education is for people who aren't in the Medieval Era.

Set up a Pasture (with fences) for Cows in any nearby fields to start producing meat, milk and more importantly Leather.
Also make a Coat of Arms!

I support this idea. However, I think it's far too early to have a coat of arms so far. Maybe later?

I support this notion. Keep the people stupid, set up a pasture instead.

You write a letter to the lord of Shanaria, requesting a monk to serve you to uphold christianity.
5 Peasants are being drafted into a militia force and immediately begin to build up a training ground at your castle
The 7 remaining peasants start to build a pasture.
You begin thinking about a coat of arms, looking at your family background black-red would be just as possible as white-blue, and you cannot decide on a symbol to use aswell.
Work on the farm plots is finished and the workers not needed on the fields return to the village. The lumberjacks complain about not having any place to live in while they work.

Alright, if we must have a coat of arms, I want a blue horse on a white background.

We may make our coat of arms evolve with time. (doing research now)

Fix the lumberjacks' problem, do MORE FARMS. we're 53 if I count well, so we'll need 6 more plots I guess. we'll see how many people the cow pasture can sustain, make more farms to feed people AND cows, and also... barley? (is that how you say the cereal for beer? google trad says so, but I'm not sure. this is longer term anyway.)

Also monk => christianisation (NOT education. educated peasants want better jobs and less orders.), then beer (monks brew very good beers, ya know).

...Wait, how did this village not starve to death without us?

Um.

Alright. Nevermind.

What we have here is a manpower problem. We already hit 0% unemployment, and we aren't even started. How do we get more peasants?

We started with 50 peasants. Now we have 52. My guess is they're breeding and we're starting to get immigrants.
