You guys are obviously forgetting the traditional solution here.

We must throw the gobbo.

Well. He wasn't about to rescue the paladin, sheesh.
I think I'm playing too much of a good guy for this party. Which is kinda ironic given that he's a goblin... :-\

To be fair, Veraelnis can kill him without repercussions if he is evil :P

So you could RP it as self-preservation.

But rescuing the paladin would have proven your moral superiority over him, eventually leading you two to be best friends :P

Besides, we tried to talk to the orcs. It's not our fault they all threw spears at me  :-\
Also, I think Scelly is killing the enemies too often. Shouldn't they have to drop to -10HP just like us? Yet attacks that only do about 5 damage are killing them outright.

Um. I'm just RPing it as "Why in the nine (or was it seven?) hells would I do anything to save the paladin?" :P Also when is next session, etc?
Fakedit: Oh, I think NPCs just die at 0 HP, unless you're trying to knock them out.

Ah. Realllly wish the whip could damage armored opponents, since that automatically causes non-lethal damage.

Yeah, but Sir Vera doesn't look down on you. He hates the goblin.

So, Scelly, what do you think of me flavor-editing the "ravager" class from Complete Warrior to fit Armok? [redacted]

Oh, the Toady One would probably just edit/delete the post, unless Doom's a repeat offender :P
