"Those aren't bats! They aren't bats!" Aidan said, noticing that for the one he took, his allies flanking him took two.

"Sadie!"

This was strange. He didn't feel any different when he fired the bow. Perhaps it was due to his training in the past, now returning to him as did his talents?

No matter, the only thing that needed remembering now was the lives of his teammates.

Shift zone to our Melee side, hopefully flanking Sadie from the bats, using a point-blank maneuver to shoot! Or...grapple with one of those 'bats' and flick my bowstring.

"Those aren't bats! They aren't bats!"

REGIS would have stopped to revel in the words coming out of the elf's mouth if the situation weren't more dire. However, he couldn't help but think to himself.

"Ow!" Sadie yelped, diving for cover behind her metallic protector.

Action: Shoot a weakened bat! Try to take cover behind REGIS!

Dell growled at the bat... thing. "You're gonna wish you hadn't done that."

: "I'm with Queen. See you, Bowser."

Down the hole, follow Queen. Move down, kicking from wall to wall to diminish impact the final impact.

"Fair enough. Just move to the side once you hit the bottom. I'll be coming down after a moment."

Cora sighs "Well, I was expecting a trap, but there goes any way to attempt a fall-back to the others... I guess the pit would do that as well... Here we go! fingers crossed that there isn't anything worse down there!" Cora cannonballs down the pit, aiming to land on someone, if possible.

Turn 3, Dungeon

Cora and company jumped down first, then Bowser jumped last. Funnily enough, no matter how far they fell, they didn't feel any pain landing on their feet! In fact, just before impact, it was as if their descend slowed down and allowed them a graceful landing. They came to another uneventful room, besides a single detail:

There was an odd large piece of paper on the wall.

Aidan and company fired another volley of arrows, destroying 3 more of the bat creatures. Aidan and REGIS shifts zone.

The creatures got filled with dread over how quickly their numbers diminished. They lost their turn out of sheer terror.

"At least our morale is high...

"Reggie! Punch Sadie, please!"

Somehow, he was self-conscious about the fact that he could only protect by prevention. He doubted that his...body would act as a suitable bulwark to defend her.

Nevertheless, he spun the bow around his fingers as he marveled at the accuracy he was getting with this one. Two lucky shots in a row and none of them even getting hurt in the second!

"First time I've seen a tactical- erm, retreat."

Take aim, fire if Sadie or Dell does.

"Reggie, anything you see that can help us?"

Sadie felt like her feet were rooted to the ground. Why hadn't she moved toward REGIS like she had planned?

Action: Take another shot at the bats! Shift toward REGIS!

Bowser took a moment to look through the room, noting anything of interest. He also took a look outside of the gaping hole in the wall.

"This looks useful," Bowser said, taking the map down from the wall. "Looks like we've got the top floor covered between our groups already. We've got another choice in directions though. I say we go left. We should try and find a way back to the other group just in case."

"Interesting dungeon design... though I understand the risk of having a 2 dimensional layout, in a vertical fashion, to have the entire layout as such... seems strange, like the creator didn't want to bother with a third dimension when making this rudimentary map... or perhaps the map was made first... ack, bug it all, let's just go!" To the left, to the left...

: "Would prefer to cover more ground first. If this dungeon is anything like back at home... just a peek. Will join up momentarily." Queen headed to the right.
