you're joking right?

No.

Electrolites

Caffeine is not an electrolyte.

Ok sorry sorry... I forgot that some people drink pure liquid caffeine.

Dissolved caffeine is still not an electrolyte.

you did state that "sex releases energy built up on the crown chakra"(whatever that is), that's a lot more speciffic and esoteric than saying that people get tired after having sex, and it really isn't the reason sex works as a headache reliever, that has to do with the previously mentioned endorphins

This made me laugh.

But I can't help but feel like this may have not been a joke.

Yeah the thing about Chakra is a lot of it was made to explain things that they simply couldn't at the time.

But frankly it is like trying to decipher a tera-centric model of the solar system into its heliocentric model.

Dissolution does not always involve dissociation. Caffeine is not, by itself an ion, and it doesn't form ions when dissolved in water.

Ok so it wasn't a joke...

Obviously I was refering to everything that goes into a caffinated drink. No one drinks cups of water with caffine in it. I mean, it was kinda obvious I was refering to things like Coffee, Tea, and Pop. Though apperantly not... apperantly I am so weird to everyone that they would believe I'd suggest to anyone that they drink caffine itself.

Sounds like what I have often. I tend to not drink enough, so as stated earlier in the thread that might be the problem.

Asking for medical advice on internet is extremely poor idea.

Caffeinated drinks are by no means the only source of electrolytes; saying that caffeinated drinks tend to be better at hydration, whilst technically true, implies that the caffeine helps, which is not. Caffeine, if anything, contributes to dehydration in the long run, as a mild diuretic.

A bit of trivia: ibuprofen does work on migraine pain, and in fact NSAIDs are a first line choice for migraine management. But often they are not enough by themselves.

If you ask me his headache sounds tensional, though

Actually all caffeine drinks have a net gain. the Caffeine's stimulant behavior could also lead to faster hydration as well.

This.

Call up your doctor and get her opinion.  Even if she thinks it's normal and just advises you to take some painkillers you'll have the peace of mind of knowing it's unlikely to be something more serious.  Asking on the internet just results in anthropomorphic ponies babbling about chakras.

If it gets worse to the point where I'm more then mildly uncomfortable about it, calling the doctor is at the top of my list. If it was something more then a headache, happening frequently, I also would've skipped this step entirely. :P

And just mentioning it again, it may not be a migraine. It was just light sensitive so I thought it was, but apparently there are light sensitive headaches too, so my only proof has gone out the window.

Oh, come on. This is Bay 12! We even have at least one actual doctor!
