Just imagine, LCS on Fox news.
« on: June 27, 2012, 07:08:53 pm »

I can only imagne the lulz that would be had if fox news heard about this and went on their typical anti-gaming, and anti-liberal tirade. The trolling potential is limitless.

"A videogame known as 'Liberal Crime Squad' from the known communist collaborator 'Toady One The Great' has been reported as converting our youth into evil liberals! Bill O'Reilly, what do you say?"

"I think we should kill everyone who has reported to play the game!"

"Good idea, Bill! Let's get Chris Hanson from NBC and say they are pedophiles!"

"You read my mind!"

I hope to some random, great celestial being that America is not like this.

I have to live there for the rest of my puff when I get married next year  :-\

Though in saying that, a lot of conservative media is funny, even if they are doing it unintentionally. Then I remember some people actually believe what they're reporting, and it becomes slightly less/more funny.

Someone could make enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their life if they told Faux News that they knew of a "liberal propaganda game", and Faux News would pay them some ludicrous amount for more information.

"Today, the president and secret service were gunned down by what can only be seen as a act of terrorism. A high speed car chase commenced soon after, resulting in the destruction of several military jeeps giving chase. One of the murderers was heard to be yelling "We are the liberal crime squad!" before escaping in a burst of gunfire."

"[...] One of the murderers was heard to be yelling "We are the liberal crime squad! We need a slogan!" before escaping in a burst of gunfire." [...]

Fix'd.

Only mildly related, this thread caused me to wonder which of the following two is crazier: The LCS Arch-Conservative TV and/or Radio Stations or Real Life Faux News?

Well, the TV/Radio of the game isn't detailed. However, given that LCS exaggerates everything, it's safe to say that the TV/Radio of the game is equal to greater than the real-life counterpart.

In other news, whenever I see the words LCS and Fox in the same sentence, my first instinct is to think someone is talking about me.

I can't even. While I don't live in the USA, I saw the one they did for ME3, and it was just hilarious. They're just spouting worry out of every orifice they have, they even said, I think "Unfortunately, you have to monitor what your children are doing", or something to that effect.
NO WAI GUIS.

Yeah, if they got their hands on LCS, they'd almost certainly say it was being used for training by some terrorist group or another. Like basically every violent videogame ever that has one playable side that isn't "YEAH! AMEYRICUH!" all the time.

You're all greatly overexagerating: LCS requires reading and imagination.

There is no way on earth Faux News would understand the themes of this game even recognize this a game due to its lack of graphics.

I'm certain if anyone showed this to Faux News, they would just call IT to "fix this virus on my computer so I can go back to Agri Byrds*"

*Intentionally mispelled to avoid getting googled.

I don't get the deliberate misspellings even if they're to prevent googlings.
I highly doubt that there are so few webpages will less reference to Fox or Agri Byrds that anyone will find this if they look for one of those. Even if they do, what does it matter?
They're going to pick up stories of a terrorist propoganda game and run with it? Oh wait, yeah, I remember about the most used string of words used in the MW2 coverage "In this game you can play as a terrorist".
Because AMERYRIKUUHHH is incapable of doing things that would be viewed by anyone as terrorism right?

I don't know about "Agri Byrds", but "Faux News" is a pun, you know. Faux = Fake, therefore Faux News = Fake News.
(It's actually pronounced "fo", but nevermind that)

Actually, I'm just trying to avoid Agri Byrds fans from flocking to this page.  Agri = Angry.  Byrds = Birds.  But good point, I'm sure google has better sites for such fans.

And my use of Faux News is solely for Jonathan's benefit.  He seems to prefer not being even slightly associated with that news agency.
