Lim: A great hairy lobster. It has 3 stubby horns and undulates rhythmically. Beware it's poisonous sting. While it's description is funny, wanna know the best part? All possible paths to me are blocked by spore trees.

It's description said nothing about flight, now did it?

Besides him, I haven't seen any wildlife.

Yes but I have had forgotten beasts without wings who did not mention flight suddenly appear in my dining room while i had no ground path to the caverns.

Swimming up your wells maybe?

I fill wells from rivers/aquifers and I pump them into a constructed cistern so I doubt it is that...maybe I just have more beasts in those caverns or more staircases than I remember.   I love how my ADD makes this game even harder...

I was building my pump stack, and I hit the water of cavern 2. My miner that was digging out the staircase fled to the pumps...

1. Yep. Unless something breaks it down, or opens it.
2. 10l of blood goes a long way to staining stains.

Welp, as it turns out, not all the walls were in place a the time, so it just drained into my entrance area. And drowned Tekkud McLegendary Woodcrafter/ Pump Operator. So, in other words, no major losses so far.
