Somehow DF is not reading the save folder. I'm gonna try to regen the world with the parameters I exported after generation.

EDIT: OK, everything is as it should be. Gonna go and embark again and hope that this time it saves OK, otherwise I'm filing a bug.

1st Granite, 103 YCB
We've arrived at the area the Guild of Surveyors picked out for us, which - to a professional Digger's eyes - is rather disappointing. Trees, a river, and no big cliffs to dig into. I tell our woodsdwarf to get busy clearing an area to dig down into.

8th Granite, 103

Work begins on the Grand Hallway. This layer seems to be made mostly of silty clay - easy to dig out and a good planting bed for DrunkenCaveOgre to start a farm. Also planning to dig a dormitory slash hospital on this level just so we can get it out of the way quickly. Corai notes that there are giant grasshoppers and giant weasels here.

5th Slate, 103
While digging the Great Stairs, we managed to find amythst and brown zircon. A small farm has been set up and our woodcutter is at work making beds for the dormitory. I can almost feel Id* smiling down from the Heavenly Temple.

29th Slate, 103
Witnessed a flock of peach-faced lovebird men.

Crazy Cow's acting a little slow getting the walls around the entrance up. A quick look in my files simply states "He is weak". Hell.

Started work on the workshop hall. Gonna use a method of building where several workshops border a stockpile of the needed good. Started planning on residential level.
