Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land
« on: June 02, 2012, 09:51:05 pm »

So, I havent played this yet or anything but it does look pretty interesting. Has anyone played this? Interested in some opinions.

Turn based tactics RPG set in WWI with zombies and SANITY(e.g. lack thereof).

Heres a random review:

This appears to be an app for iOS and android but you can get it on PC too. I COULD get it on the iPhone but that would probably suck being so small.

Sorry for the lame OP, I will put more effort into it if theres interest here.

EDIT: added review link.

Unless I can beat a shoggoth to death with a broken urinal, not interested.

EDIT: It actually looks pretty decent, but I'm really not sure how combat will evolve past "shoot thing that looks different than you with gun". Unless your guys learn magic, or something? How do weapons work, anyways, is there just like a '+5 machinegun of pew pew', or is it purely skill based?

from what I have read, it is based off the tabletop game with the full support of Chaosium. There is a sanity mechanic, if that means anything to you.

In the tabletop game, Sanity acted as a sort of Mana for your character, but it could also play as a secondary healthbar. Here, it looks like it just might be for morale purposes. I can't find much more information than that, unfortunately. D:

You need to play Shadow of the Comet

honestly probably my favorite Cthluhu based game ever... and pretty epic
