((I did not understand the defensive action there. Was that [4] roll for me or for the spider? Because it dealt 4 damage to me, exactly as the roll's result, but then again re-rolling defense would not make too much sense, lest the spider roll 1 and then be re-rolled to cause more damage. I though defense rolls were to cushion a base 6 damage, and that is why we can re-roll them.
And Derm's attempts at being a cool guy who walks around while casually flinging magic are going to severely hinder the party. He may accidentally be our tank in the next encounter if things stay as they are :3))

Azerios roars. There is no way a spider shall be able to take down him.
Grab its head and attempt to turn it until the neck join breaks. Basically, break its neck.

That four was the spider's offensive roll- you got slight damage because you have good armor.
Defensive rolls only crop up when you need them, really- basic attacks don't warrant one unless you advance cautiously or something, take/would take a fair amount of damage, or a random event not battle related. Armor takes care of inbattle defense most of the time.

Did the math, then wanted to make sure no one asked "Where's my +1." I got ahead of myself, because I'm using a pen and paper to keep track of every little detail.

Azerios gets a firm hold upon the spider's neck! He begins to twist, but it resists!

Derm releases Magic Missile!

Derm's magic missile was too weak to pierce the spider's exoskeleton.
The spider switches it's focus to the missile, giving Azerios an opening!

He twists violently, but the spider manages to resist, clashing it's mandibles in front of Azerios!
It can't bite.

Azerion uses Fisticuffs, releasing the right side of the spider's head!

After brutally punching the spider, he finishes twisting it's neck! The spider slumps to the ground, dead!

Ochita tries to emulate Nirur.

It starts to work, but just as soon as Ochita began absorbing mana, it burst. This caused excess mana to be spewed all about the room.

Azerios lets go of the spider's limp body as soon as he hears the "crack" sound which announces he was successful in his attempts to twist its neck. He smiles, stands up and dusts off.

Open the chest or assist in the efforts of opening it and loot both the Exoskeleton Breastplate(Azerion) and Spider Leg Saber(Azerion). He also gets the spider's head and tries to fashion a helmet from it.
