Mod: Is the Emperor alive? Does he have power in this current setting? Can he exist in this setting in flavor?

Up to GG to answer, of course, but I'm pretty sure that, while the Emperor is alive, back on his palace on Earth, he's not actively part of this game. I mean, look at the opening flavour:

The mines of mars are not a pleasant place, and the Emperor "Earth First" policy has not made many friends amongst the downtrodden and subjugated masses that populate the tunnels, tunnels that spread out like fingers under the cold red sand of the planet.

They are not a pleasant place to work.

It certainly doesn't look like the kind of place His Imperial Majesty would choose to soil his august feet in, does it? Nah, I think this will be an Emperor-free endeavour.

As for the flavour bit of your question, I am Solomon Petresun, and reserve the right to throw flavour around as I see fit outside of the game. Once the game starts, well, we'll be constrained by the actual setting, so no. But the poor trapped miner Tony Petresun may moan about how his distant uncle thriced removed would handle the situation... but nobody listens to him.

Speaking of the Emperor, would anyone be interested in another Emperor Cybrid thread some time in the future? I've got a fun and quite interesting game planned (though it may be super plot spoilers game-wise since it takes place immediately after the high point of the cybrid campaign, and thus involves quite a few revealed secrets. I assume everyone who will play the games has by now, though.)

I was thinking Monday night if it filled up fast enough. I'd like at least 9, though, preferably 10-12, so I'll probably hold off on a date until I'm sure. Probably need three days after I have a solid player count to tweak the balance.

No. I'm busy enough keeping the Earth Empire going without your shenanigans and attempts at getting me killed. Go squash some bugs and leave me alone.

Seriously, I do want to see it again, but I think it's too soon. Plus the confirmed townie mechanic is different enough that the player with it should not be random... Maybe this: run another quickbastard (Politibastard II! Cultist vs. Socialist! Run it in September/October as prediction for November! Yeah!), or your other 5p quickbastard idea, or the next resurrection++ (but with more flavour)... choose another superwinner, and then you can have a new Emperor... how's that?

I haven't the first clue. Not only did I not play starsiege, I've never played tribes either. I know nothing about the setting but what you and wikipedia have provided. If there's source material (stories, games, movies or freakin' fanfiction) you'd like us to be familiar with, please link it.
