Worldgen issues
« on: May 23, 2012, 01:59:12 am »

I'm trying to make a world with a crazy long history, so I used advanced world gen.

All settings were default except
Embark Points = 10000 (war dog army :P)
World gen up to year 10000
Pocket Region

Yet every time I tried, it would stop the world at year 30. What's up with that?

Perhaps it's because of the "pocket region", which means very few titans and other MB. When you begin a custom world, it has an option which stop the world after XXX years if XXX of the megabeast are dead (option which isn't active in a "normal" generation).
It's (i believe) the only thing that can stop the process. Try to put it on year 10 000 too.

Sorry, where's that option? What is it above or below?

should be ver near. "check megabeast % dead" I think it was

ah, here it is.
Just below "site cap creation" (near top of the list)
percentage beast dead for stoppage
and
year to start checking megabeast percentage

80% is default, but just put the start checking at year 30 wherever you want it at. Won't be any megabeasts in your world though

Who cares if they're no megabeasts. My goal is to exterminate human civilization.

How long should it take to save/load in adventurer mode?

depends on computer, but quite a while, especially if you're in a city or something
